Should boruto as a series even exist?

Now I'm not talking about the quality of boruto( manga/anime).

I just wonder if I'm the only one who feels continuing the series kind of diminshes the effect. Naruto ended perfectly I'm with chapter 699. 700 should have just been a 'where are they now' thing instead of branching into it's own series


Naruto ended with more closure plot and character wise than most manga do anyway. I can't think of a good reason to keep it going aside from money


Also holy hell boruto completely threw the idea of ninshu out the window

I dont really like the series so far. Its not focused on the story at all and its too much random stuff going on - and im not even sure if its the same plot anymore cause im not even sure whats going on

chapter 700 - was the perfect ending and still left some mystery behind

I am happy it is there! Else i'd be wondering "what happened in the future", "how are the children doing" etc....however, the super rapid technology boom, kara organization (like what the hell were they doing during the war/before it? Why didn't they help there? Were they trapped in the infinite tsukuyomi?. etc..) and Naruto looking ugly and not actually being able to utilize his 6 paths senjutsu and all the tailed beasts power anymore....are quite illogical and i don't like them.

All the main characters (except for NaruHina) also have just 1(!!) child (some don't have any...and i say they should have at least 2-3)..on top of that, all of them seem to be the same age....also something that bothers me

BUT...and the BUT is huge...i can watch what happens next and stay thrilled - for both, anime and manga (because both are canon...before i was interested only in Naruto's manga, because i viewed anime as a huge filler..)

I disagree that the manga wrapped up nicely. It had a lot more story it could explore

Especially with throwing Kaguya in at the end

Nah. If the Boruto series had actually built upon Narutos themes and concluded them with a new generation maybe jt could have been good, but in its current form its a train wreck.
