Nope the story was still solid until Kurama became a bitch for the heck of it. Sasuke became an Emo and the story (battles and power scalings) went to the gutter.

As for the masterpiece it took ideas and made them excellent and likeable. Compare that to second rate trash Boruto which is trash from the get go and becoming progressively trashier.

You have multiple shounen titles actually developing their world, lore and side characters even while having the same cliches they have to work with in their genre.

That’s why Hero academia is so well received. From its villains to its world building and even newly introduced characters are developed and given attention.

Naruto made it about Sasuke and Naruto. Shafted Sakura for close to half a decade. Ended the Hyuga and Neji development in the first part of the series, ignored the rest of K11 and had shit world building and pacing.

Boruto looks to be the same with kawaki and him expect if you aren’t a rikudou user and a human then you’re existence is unimportant.
