Ok so I want to revisit the history of and reflect on some things about itachi and also understand how it would benefit him in battle. So we'll start with one of his most infamous scans(LOL).

[Be Ready To Read]

So here we have hiruzen speaking on a very young itachi, explaining how itachi not only researched his own clan but also the many leaders who came before him. As a child who witnessed war 1st hand, he did this with a kind heart and a desire to end all conflict and bring about peace to the world. This passion made itachi become arguable the best shinobi ever at risk reward calculating, being able to both predict and process the varying possible outcomes of warring clans and nations. He was even able to account for long term results and the futures of those clans/nations. Itachi was too smart to get attached to any clan, let alone the uchiha, he saw the true nature of people, which is why he rarely made friends. With this level of understanding itachi was able to 'PERFECTLY' predict and execute many missions, some among highest ranks.

All this praise for itachi came from two men. One was a man of studies himself, hiruzen the professor, who is revered to have the knowledge of and/or the aptitude to use all known justus inside the leaf. A man who’s said to have greater strength than the leaders before him.

The other was the formers rival who’s true might lies within the shadows. This was a man with an eye for talent, the shinobi of darkness, leader of root and sixth hokage elect Danzo. Both men, with all their shared experience, saw itachi as a shinobi that’ll be a serious and lethal problem for anyone.

Young itachi was peaceful but highly skilled, easily the best in his peer group.

In the novel, Itachi graduated the academy with the second highest score ever. He entered and passed the chunin exams as a one man team, which hasn't been done before or since. During his second exam, which took place at the forest of death, Itachi beat an entire team to get the needed scrolls, setting the record for shortest time in to get to the center of the forest.

All this he did at the age of 10, then six months pass and he joins anbu. By the time 3 years had passed he was promoted to captain.

So how does this all help itachi?

It’s simple, Itachi can (almost) never be caught off guard. Ever since his childhood he’s studied a wide range of combat extensively.

Plus fugaku his own father couldn’t read him at a young age, and he had MS.

Furthermore, itachi didn’t just learn a lot about combat and war, he made good use of that knowledge. His ability to gage a fight or a potential fight will almost always guarantee he has a plan that likely leads to victory or a desired outcome, and still have a plan b and c just in case. He knows how to maneuver in nearly any situation. On top of that is the fact that he joined the akatsuki as a spy all while remaining an undercover ally of the leaf, and he still manages to protect kurenai kakashi asuma and later jiraiya from kisame’ onslaught.

Of all the things that can go wrong on a mission, Itachi is skilled enough to adjust to any situation, reduce the likelihood of things going south and always ensure success. Itachi is the only ninja on record to have this level of efficiency(for comparison, shikamaru who’s considered a genius has led a mission which had to unforeseen circumstances and ended in failure). He even goes as far to say that 'even the strongest heroes have weaknesses' and ‘all jutsu have a weakpoint’.

Keep in mind, even at that young age, itachi was highly skilled physically as well, but of course maturity and getting older only improved his capabilities. So just know that if itachi wants something to happen, it happens. Which means in his eyes, ‘You’re Still Too Weak’.

P.S. - Right before itachi’ spirit left the edo body, he used genjutsu on sasuke and it’s implied that he used tsukiyomi. What he’d shared with sasuke was his own life, the answers he was looking for through the eyes of itachi. So all his experiences, his questions, his revelations, his knowledge, his wisdom, his intentions, his desires, his memories, all went to his younger brother, giving sasuke the older brother he always wanted. I just thought this was a cool bit of info because now it makes more sense why sasuke did what he did after kaguya was sealed. It was also kinda poetic because it was the first time itachi let someone in and showed his true colors and how much he cared for others, and he did this while looking into his own eyes(literally). Also, sasuke is confirmed as smart and wise as his brother, and he moves forward traveling and observing the world, taking his brother with him. Sharing the same desire for peace, the same sense of purpose, but creating his own experiences(after this moment Sasuke got more serious and calculated than ever before. He became for more observant, as noted by Madara and momoshiki).

Also thanks to Naruto Itachi’ name has been cleared. No loner is he a traitor or a spy, he is only one thing; a hero of the leaf.

I don't understand this rant. You really think he is a hero because he slaughtered a clan that wanted its civil rights back?

Because he is a high ranked shinobi he is automatically a pure person?

Not the reason why he’s a hero. That genocide was an order given to him by his superior. Not a rant, just shedding light.

Even if it was an order. He was the only link between Village and Clan. He was going to be the next clan leader.

But he chose to shut while people spit in his clan, family, and little kids.

He is in no way a hero.

Why do you feel a coward snitch who sold his own people out is a hero? Last i check that was a rat..lol. Regardless of their intentions the uchiha's were willing to go down fighting alongside each other for their respect. If itachi could have made a real difference his people, his mother, father, would still be alive..but noooo now their eating a mouth full of maggots LMFAO! Itachi was basically a house negro or a FBI informant.
