Why did Sasuke abandon so many jutsu he learned?

As we know Sasuke learned so many jutsu over the years but he doesn’t use some such as these below:

- Chidori variation like electric around his body
- Chidori sword and then make it spike out of the person body, did this to Itachi
- Amaterasu around Susano
- Snake jutsu
- Orochimaru style body replacement
- Kirin
- CM, he could easily get Orochimaru to get it back
- Absorbing chakra, he only done this to Naruto and no one else
- Chibaku Tensei
- Outer Path
- Indra Arrow
- Susano Chidori
- Chidori + Amaterasu


Sasuke learned many jutsu but he doesn’t use many of them. A Susano with Amaterasu was so cool, too bad Sasuke doesn’t do that anymore.

If you look at how the manga progressed. As foes got faster and faster it got to the point where most those jutsu didn't really help.

Essentially the fights are:

Opponents are super fast and amazing at CQC to the point standard jutsu is not fast enough or strong enough.

OR / Until

Opponent pulls out a powerful avatar that those jutsu are too weak to combat.


Sasuke didnt have time to use Jutsu vs Kinshiki or momoshiki(Couldn't due to absorbtion)
The moment momshiki allowed them to use a jutsu he had a megazois avatar which required them to use a megazoid avatar.

What about genjutsu, the last time he used genjutsu was against Sakura and no one else after that.

Btw, some jutsu wouldn't really help.

Chidori Nagashi has been removed because it would effectively neg his opponents via paralysis making them vulnerable to one shots.

Kishimoto did trash Sasuke but he also gave him props. An example of the latter would be when Sasuke completely destroyed that portion of the meteor in The Last; He did that without erecting Susano’o.

I have no clue why he doesn't use enton on his susanoo. He cut the Juubi like butter. he could have deleted Kinshiki.

The thing is Sasuke has given up using so many jutsu, even though they are powerful. Apart from MS and Rinnengan jutsu, Sasuke worked hard to learn and master his jutsu. Not using them is like a waste.

CM is the biggest waste, what was the point of mastering it if he was going to lose it permanently never getting it back at all or attempt SM training.


Sasuke not using rinnengan to build a new arm or getting a artificial arm is dumb, especially since he knows new powerful enemies are coming.

Not using Chibaku Tensei anymore, absorbing and outer path is bad.

What about Susano + Amaterasu around Susano, that is the perfect defense and offense. Attack and opponent gets burned like Raikage.

Maybe but its thouroughouly implied considering he had to shift to Curse mark to use it not to mention he never attempted it(again) despite the DB's hax description of the jutsu.

He didn't shift to cirse seal for it, the cursed seal was to amp it further. The reason he's never used it again was the same reason he's never used many of the other jutsu he's shown is nerf. How many times would Chidori Nagashi come in handly, chidori senbon or spear. Even sharingan genjutsu(rarely uses) a practical birthright isn hardly ever employed.
