Yurui was shit - all he knew was how to absorb chakra. Sarada was freshly made genin and she was against someone who's an elite chunin powerful enough to guard the hokage and her mother had a pretty strong genjutsu, her father was the son of the 3rd hokage.
That's like saying that kid Sasuke is weak if he'd fall under Kakashi genjutsu, age difference does matter unless it's some fodder like Yurui.

To be fair, Sasuke was exhausted from the forest, and couldn't use his Sharingan nor Chakra. Yoroi, as said by Orochimaru, was his worst match-up in this condition because if he was drained to much then he would be overtaken by the Curse Mark.

Yup she didn’t put her best foot forward against Shinki, she had tons of options and more techniques that would’ve been beneficial but it’s nothing to dwell about on. Sarada will be well beyond Shinki in her prime (especially by the end of this manga) so it’s all gravy, Saradabase will have the last laugh in the end.
