Madara = benevolent world hero (even if the world doesn't see it that way). Madara solo'd the entire world! Madara is epic!

Itachi = misguided kinslayer who couldn't think of a better way to save both Konoha and his family, and instead opted to just kill his family, leave his little brother as the sole miserable survivor, run away, and then die at his brother's hand.

True. I've always believed that Itachi should have fought and killed Danzou, the moment that Danzou proposed genocide as an option.

I truly believe that there could have been other ways to satisfy the Uchiha and simultaneously prevent a war from happening.

Its funny how much tormented Madara got over the past decade. Fight die, fight die, fight die, fight get..backfisted.
