Let's be real now the anime version og the movie plot is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the manga. I don't know how people would prefer the manga version over the anime one with those facts:

1-Urashiki additon. Urashiki is a refreshing addition to the otsutsukis who up until now are very edgy and unsociable like Urashiki himself said. He's fun Sarcastic and has a nice design.

2-Boruto and Naruto relationship is deeper than the manga. Boruto's struggle in the anime version holds more meaning and is handeled way better than the manga/movie.

3-Katasuke was shown to be manipulated . in the manga that wasn't shown

4-Shinki in the anime and his teammates Araya and Yodo have wayyyyyyyyy more screentime than the manga and in fact each of them fought/will fight one on one in the chunin exams. unlike in the manga the fights concerning them are fleshed out. We knew Yodo's power's and Next week Araya which the manga didn't care to show

5-Shinki vs Chocho. in the manga: One Panel . In the anime: a 10 mins GREAT fight. showed chocho that she doesn't give up that easily and for the first time she uses human boulder.

6- The anime showed us how gaara found Shinki

7-Boruto and Shinki's relationship is handeled better in the anime. U can tell shinki has interest in boruto in episode 56 and 57.

8-We're having fights that were completely absent in the movie/manga like SHINKI VS MITSUKI AND SARADA VS ARAYA AND THEN FINALLY BORUTO VS SHINKI VS SARADA.

Reason number 8 alone makes the anime version 10000000000000000000x better than manga and movie.

Sorry but those who deny that the anime is doing better than the manga are just anime haters that hate and say it's filler and retcons even though it's making it better and more meaningful

Reason 8. Did you see how wounded Shikidai was on losing? He was cheated of his rightful honour so Clone(Boruto) could have more screen time. On the other hand the only thing i like about Boruto anime is character development for the others. Overall it's become trash because Boruto exists and is the main character.

As Rebo said enjoy it for what it is.

5 is a horrible reason tbh. Chocho didn't even manage one hit on Shinki. Couldn't even put up a scracth, it was boring in the sense that it was one sided.

Something that wasn't said about Choji vs Dosu when he tried the same human boulder.

It sucks so much in comparison to Naruto but if we to compare the manga version of Boruto to the anime you'd be right. The fights and the chunin exams are disappointing though. There is no sense of tension, something that is supposed to be there as the genins are participating to obtain the Chunin rank.

Do you think number 6 even compares to Gaara's backstory. All I saw was Gaara approach a troubled kid Shinki. We don't know anything about Shinki's past and how his KKG is iron sand.

The movie was better than the anime and manga, events were consice and clear, and the plot kept moving forward. Why do we need a whole episode for Boruto vs Yurui, etc..

Theory sounds legit. Orochimaru did kill the 4th Kazekage and was Sasori's partner in the Akatsuki at the time. He might have helped him kill the 3rd Kazekage and take a bit of his DNA to create another lab experiment like Mitsuki.
