Obviously I’m not asking if one was stronger than the other, but say we were to swap either of them out for another shinobi of the time, how would they fare? Out of their generation the only person I could see putting up a good fight would be either Gaara or 6th gate Lee, but what about chunin or jonin? I don’t think they’d be able to beat someone of Kakashis caliber, but what do y’all think is the strongest person either 1 Tailed Naruto or CS2 Sasuke?
Naruto isn't really chunin level he just spams jutsu, intellect would trump Spam. Sasuke would be able to beat up to Kurenai and Gaara (he's not much of an issue tbh).

I kind of have to agree, because at that point he still doesn't know how to utilise the Substitution Jutsu while Sasuke displayed proficiency in it in the Gaara fight. Strength wise he's at Chuunin, but the fact he isn't there yet skill wise levels him down to mid Genin at best.
Yeah he was roughly around that area, killing Jonins with his sand alone whenever he gets out of control. He fought a Boss Toad summoning which only Sage's can do, and he had enough chakra to pull out a Tailed beast at whim (playing possum jutsu) despite not being a perfect jinchuuriki which is Yugito Nii level.
there's huge difference betweeen having sage mode and having sage powers...2 important rules for achieving sage mode is that you train for it and CONTROLL IT!!!(in riuchidu or myuboku).
jugo had insane madman mode(=/=sagemode)...he goes like homeless insane beating pipole in teh streetz....i dont think jugo had sage mode....

No there's not. You cannot use Sage powers without knowing how to use Sage Mode. Read:

Orochimaru never had a Curse Mark power, he never used Jugo's powers as well otherwise his body would riot away. That's why he's been experimenting on everybody to see which body is suitable for the Sage Transformation.

In short, you can't have Sage Transformation without becoming a Sage, you'll die from the senjutsu and it's never been done before. So I don't know who told you that fanfic of using Sage power with Sage Transformation/Mode.

p1 saskey probably low jonin lvl... naruto have strength of chunin but we must remember that genjutsu solos p1 naruto...he can beat neji but he would lose to kin or tayuya neg diff...for that reason he aint even chunin level overall

wrong as f.... madara never used sage mode or trained for it befor and yet he got senjutsu by absorbing it from hashirama and it felt like it was nothing for him,it was easy to handle..
i think most of ur infos cources are based on narutopedia...my advice never trust that website...
