A Naruto and Sasuke that aren't Uzumaki and Uchiha doesn't exist so you have no basis to claim Sakura would be stronger than them if not for their bloodline. I would love for sakura to be a trully relevant character but they messed her character up so bad its not even funny. Almost anything that could be considdered a feat for her is literally handed to her by the author because he wanted to somehow keep her relevant after messing up her typing and power scaleability then after messing that up decided to hand her tsunades role so she could be somewhat relevant again.

If you could take away narutos demon without him ever being sealed within naruto to begin with then the character for natuo still has a lot to fall back on his natures would be like the first hokages and it would still be an inspiring story about overcoming obstacles to make your dream come true. if you could take away all the power creep power ups from saskue he would still be genious level similar to his brother but would make up for the lack of power with efficiency on top of which the story was also to show theres not just one way of doing things saskue did what he did and still ended up on par with naruto by the end.

Origionally sakuras character was meant to be a genjutsu type char but with saskues eye tech it was a redundancy so her character would have had more depth starting there but that got trashed and they went back to the drawing board further more it didnt help matters that the anime magizine he was writing for shonen jump was starting to breathe down his neck for him to make the deadlines in doing so he felt rushed and a lot of other back story for many characters mostlikely sakura included never got light shone upon it just like how the other clans didnt get all that much backstory to explain a lot of their tech or even the other major name drops like kimmimarus last name or orochimarus. As a matter of fact sakuras only real difficulty story wise was that she was made fun of for her farhead developed a split personality mostlikely because of her mother and at first she really didnt try to understand the depths of saskue and narutos lonelieness untill a filler/movie forced her into their prospective. The fact that the character exists at all is probably because it reminds the writer of his wife and even he said he perfers a character and personality like hinatas so i absolutely dont know how else to explain that this char doesn't have the depth it needs to be complete as a main character.

If you compare her to another some what leading female like hinata, hinata has a far more harsh and deep backstory being the black sheep of the family no matter how hard she tried she never trully got the respect of her father till the end of the series she saw something deep within naruto when NO one else would maybe because she saw everything from the background all his failures and his drive to succeed and wondered how he could keep going without giving up and decided that she wanted to change and be more like him and then actually put in the work and made an honest attempt even without haveing had training from a sannin like the other 3 did she still did her best with neji training her each day and even forgave him for what he did to her with her being the collateral damage of his vendetta against the main branch from back in part 1 ont top of which during part 1 she was kidnapped because someone wanted to steal her eyes to find out how they worked and if they could be some how weaponized. or the time she ran in to stop pain fully knowing she was gonna get stomped but she ran in anyway to protect the man she loved, theres so much more depth to her but yet she hardly talks its a shame really.

I also want to add for anyone who doesnt believe me you can go and watch all of the kishimoto interviews and hear it directly from his mouth. and also i think in this specific case this phrase applies #BelieveIt

Unlike Sasuke,Naruto, and Hinata Sakura was suppose to be a normal character that represented human flaws( mentioned in a super old interview from Kishimoto). Despite her being normal she did stuff a normal person in the NV shouldn't have been able to do (learn the hundred seals, amazing charka control, able to tank easily, she basically surpassed all of K11 [expect for Lee if he open the gate maybe]) and that's what made her special. It's any authors jobs to continue adding stuff to all of their characters to make them interesting. Fillers aren't cannon material so you can't count that for or againist her character. Sakura is genjustu resistant. She doesn't really cast the genjustus but she is basically resistant to them all except for high level Uchiha Genjustu (Madara and Sasuke). Hinata's backstory was trashed too so don't be bias. It started out great but it started to be pushed back because they literally made her character focus 99.9% on Naruto instead of basically being her own character outside of him. Everytime her character is mentioned it is only mentioned how she's done things surrounding or because of Naruto and really only him. I hate it because she's hyped and it's like why? She could have been better if Kishimoto understood how to write in general. Like she didn't even train her son in Boruto. Hanabi was showing his stuff and she is basically clan heiress now. Honestly I felt like if Naruto would have died in the war than Hinata would have given up ( which was hinted when she was running to him after the nine tails was extracted from him and she falls on the ground). At the end of the day both Sakura and Hinata(like basically all of the females and most of the non main characters) are flawed but back to Sasuke and Naruto....Kishimoto focused more on these characters that any other character and in a way that kinda hurt his writing if you asked me because so many of the characters had potential.

Hinata was supposed to be a villager and love interest of Naruto.

Sasuke and Sakura changed this dynamic making, her a ninja and creating the teams. Which is why useless females like tenten and arguably, ino exist.

my problem isnt them adding to her character its that they didnt, they copy pasted from tsunade instead of making sakura take the path she was supposed to. she was supposed to be an all genjutsu type from the start and it got trashed more vaguely simlar to kurenai her character lacks any true sort of depth despite supposedly being a normal main character look at naruto harsh back story look at saskue harsh back story look at sakura no back story other than the giant farhead thing which everyone was teased in school at one point or another so it didnt really matter its so vanilla it hurts they could have made one of her parents die in a horrible way or make her suffer a traumatic experience to cause her personality split but what is it from her parents aggrivation then a vast majority of part 1 she abuses the shit out of naruto despite the hardships hes been through because she just didn't care about him or to learn about him in the what if filler episodes they showed if naruto had his parents he would have been much more serious and knowledgeable. i furthermore find it more horrible that she treated naruto so poorly based of of hardly knowing him its like she just perpetuated the way the other villagers treated him. @ Sakura Michiko The majority of the time she only focused on her love interest which is what you blamed hinatas character for yet you dont hate sakura for that #YourBiased. Also you said yourself the writer wanted her to be normal, normal vanilla characters dont get rediculous power creeps and hand outs or else they stop being normal and become exceptional. Normal is a word created by the mass populace based on what the vast majority does. example if the vast majority of everyone in the world ate tide pods then eating tide pods would be considdered normal. All of the above further proves my point that they broke her characters point as well as its backstory simply because it was supposed to be unique then he made her normal by taking away that uniqueness then he took tsunades tech and slapped it on her and gave her an abnormal power scale reletive to saskue and naruto because on her own she could not be equal to them.
P.S im so glad they gave asuma and kurenai a kid because that kid is everything sakura was supposed to be and wasn't.
