She also showed in the manga what she could do with technology. I think she surprised Boruto and Mitsuki with an attack. I really like her potential but in the manga she is sidelined.

Not really. If they happened to be late for the roll call or not is not a determining factor here, as their mission was authorized by the Mizukage and he was their responsible at that moment.

Before the fight, she stated "I'm gonna bring you down by 9", and it was exactly what happened. She did beat Buntan before 9, and it wasn't mere coincidence. She calculated, based on her own skills and Buntan's, that she could bring down the enemy before the roll call time. She could've beaten Buntan 15, 20, 30 minutes later from what she had stipulated on her mind, but she did beat her in the exact time she said she could.

She analyzed that she'd beat Buntan by nine, and that's exaclty what happened. She was confident on her skills that she could do so, and that's the point of this thread.
