Unlike the movie, Boruto only uses the Scientific Ninja Weapon for water jutsu only but waves a sign for lightning technique.

Boruto is already proficient in lightning techniques. So, well done to the animators for (doing this) being consistent.

he did this jutsu in the manga... without the kote against naruto

Still filler at this point as in the canon he cheated if he could do it without cheating he would have. Yeah I know it's rare but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Fire you have to accept that most additions are filler. They arent canon just because you want them to be.
Therefore Vulpini und Sala are right.

yet the anime is making more sense than the manga which ignores all the characters. look at the next ep for instance we're gonna find out yodo and araya's powers which the manga didn't care to show. WE HAVE MITSUKI VS SHINKI FOR CRYING OUT LOUD

So filler moments after filler moments. As expected of the Boruto anime.

Since when you support Boruto this much? I still didnt watch the episode so i cant say what happened , but he cheated against every opponent and probably they are making him look even more great now so he doesnt end up a total loser and giving him a free win that he didnt even deserve it. If Boruto vs Shikadai ends up with double win

What happened to his face and hair?

XD

Not only they retcon stuff but the animation is nasty as hell. Do they even try? No passion whatsoever.

Are you talking about the one aired in 2005? 2005?

You need to find a better excuse for such a lackluster animating job.

More filler

So filler moments after filler moments. As expected of the Boruto anime.

Can any of you actually tell me or prove to me what makes the manga more canon than the anime at this point?

Face it:

Filler vs Canon = BS!

It really can't be applied to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations at this point! Just like with DBS, the anime clearly follows a similar but different continuity from the manga.

There's a fine line between filler and different continuity. Filler is something like an extended fight scene (like how Obito vs Konan was extended in the anime). Filler is something like the byakuga gang arc that has no bearing on the story.

You cross the line between filler and continuity however when actual major plot points are straight up changed (ie. Sumire wasn't supposed to participate in the exams accordingly to the manga, Urashiki doesn't even exist yet in the manga, Toneri has yet to appear or even be mentioned in the manga, KK in the anime seems to be the one who controlled Katasuke instead of Ao, etc...).

To be honest, I'd go so far as to say that filler vs canon doesn't work for series where the manga is monthly.

That filler/canon BS worked for the Naruto series because Naruto manga was weekly, so SP had a constant guide on where to go next.

For a monthly manga though, the anime has to add stuff and do stuff differently for two reasons:

1. If they don't, then the anime will by far surpass the manga just like what happened with DBS (though it worked well in that case).

2. Due to the monthly release, the writers of the manga can't spend a lot of time to flesh out certain details or characters. If they use a lot of panel time for that, then the manga will move along at such a snail's pace that it would take decades to complete. The mangaka might even die of old age by the time that finishes. That is why the anime has to go in somewhat of it's own direction. In short, a monthly manga just isn't consistently present enough for the anime to follow it to a tee like they can with a weekly manga.

That is why I choose to think of the anime and manga as similar but alternate timelines.

Most "addition" are likely to be Kishi original script though so there's no way to deduce as fillers. The canon and filler stuff is no longer prevalent in Boruto franchise since anything can be taken as face value which in that case both the manga and anime have alternative story line respectively in its own right.

The Anime deviates from the manga but that doesn't make it "non-canon" when the whole Marvel/DC or starwars and even DBS does the same treatment.

In other word, it only leaves people interpretation to choose which medium that fits in their best interest as canon.

That's not how canon works the movie was Kishi's original script missing details you could say are part of Kishi's script. Outright changing actions from what actually happened in the manga and the movie is most definitely filler there's a clear difference.

You're just presenting excuses at this point.
