Not about genocide but about the metaphors his story represents, he did everything right. It's the basis of society, the Uchihas were terrorists and he prevented the crime before it even happened, saving his brother's life by not causing a war.

It was the lesser of two evils.

He still wanted to be judged.

So it's not like it made him happy.


It's growing up really, realizing you can't just whine and complain. You can still fight for the underdog of course but some things are not ok, even if you are oppressed.

No the Uchiha weren't terrorists, they were an oppressed and isolated group who wanted equality. They were the victims of decades of Konoha policy so decided to stage a coup. Hold the leadership hostage and get their demands met, the leadership didn't like that since they wanted to continue their oppression. There wasn't any chance of a civil war for that to happen all the clans would have to get involved and destroy Konpha which I doubt would've happened. Also the reason the Uchiha were planning a covert kidnap and get demands met was to avoid any major conflict breaking out.

There was no great war coming, that's BS fic. Shisui was feeding intel to Konoha as was Itachi that's what was likely to lead to a confrontation. Had they not been Konoha's whores then all that could've been avoided.

Shisui and others feared the possibility of a great war which isn't the case. Let's face it Konoha lost a significant part of their military power (the Uchiha clan) yet nobody invaded or decided to go to war. The Uchiha coup was planned to be subtle to avoid conflict and Itachi wiped out his own blood no qualms.

he can refuse to accept the mission or report to 3rd hokage about the danzo plan to kill entire uchiha clan or refuse to kill women , kid ,old people .

in newest research show uchiha clan population in that time was around 2000 people but only have around 500 shinobi . the number of shinobi with sharigan actived was even less
the rest are women married with uchiha men from other clan (like sakura) , kid , old people , some useless non-sharingan active shinobi

all die in one night leave behind just one kid is sasuke
