There was no fight:lol.

Nue can absorb chakra, Naruto wanted to take it out in one shot but Kakashi stopped Naruto from going RSM/BM because it would just absorb the chakra and get stronger. And then as a last result it would just blow up with all the build up energy. In other words the more chakra you have the stronger it can become, it's pretty cool and can even regenerate post destruction. I'm just thinking how OP Sumire would be if she could sync with it and use all it's powers via her body.

The Nue is equivalent to a summoning and is "used" thus she does solo.
As for Naruto, Kurama isn't a companion that tags along, and so makes your point moot.

The word is quite misused these days. Sumire has literally 0 solos on count, unless I missed something. Either way, her biggest fight yet, which was against Mitsuki, she got toyed, and was pretty much a nuisance than a threat, for Mitsuki to get rid of. Perhaps, she really belongs in the technology departments, because she would have just lagged behind like Hinata in pt.1, she didn't seem to have the drive or will of a shinobi.

Naaah she wouldn't have lagged behind. She simply needs a fully fetched Nue to deal with people like Kakashi and Naruto. Sumire is a decent shinobi herself too.
