Flat earth has cool implications like how water would work.. the other just seems similar to some boring fact like "the most often used length of nails is 2 inches" or something.

In any of these cases, we are just told to believe whatever scientifics tell us. I find it hard to believe that "WE" judge those coming with these kinds of theories and try to prove their points, while "WE" just take whatever is handed to us.

I am not saying it's wrong to follow scientifically proved theories but, why judge the others opinion as if it was a sign of idiotic belief?

Because it's almost certainly coming from an idiot. I'd rather trust the guys flying planes, with satellite images, and actual expertise. I know you said it isn't wrong to follow what's proven, but that trust itself HAS to funnel into seeing these theories as idiotic because it's built on, what's perceived as, hard facts. If your own theory conflicts against multiple confirmed ones, it's probably time to throw it out the window because it's going against reality itself.

Interestingly, astronomers agree that the evidence for a flat earth is greater than that for a young earth ( anti evolution squad) so that’s the favourite, YEC.
