I need to know to settle an argument. If yes, provide examples. If no, state why.

I think it depends... Lightning has multiple properties.

If you apply Lightning to a kunai, the most basic use is to improve the cutting properties. Although I don't think there's any basic evidence to proof that the kunai increase in speed or not.

It generally amounts to the caster's strength/skill.

That's where it gets confusing. Doesn't embodying lighting enhance the users speed? So why doesn't it do the same for ninja tools?

I think there's a specific reason why it works and why it isn't applied for everything.

I honestly could not tell you because Kishimoto never bothered to explain the differences xD

This is the only "evidence" I can find where lightning is infused in a weapon. And it does not say if Lightning increases its speed.

Lightning enhances body speed because it boosts their nervous system which runs on electrical impulses

Nope. I don't think lightening has any real interactions with metal besides traveling through it and moving electrons. My pseudo science leads me to believe lightening armor works by forcing contractions alongside jolting muscles into overdrive and that a kunai with lightening has none of that.

No, it will increase the cutting/piercing capacity.
If the user were to infuse lightning chakra into their arm it would help, like lightning armor

^ this. It wouldn’t boost the speed of an inanimate object

Welp, I guess I lost an argument :coffee:

I think this doesnt apply to weapons because they have a constant speed that doesnt have interval changes.

People on the other hand do and can manipulate the rate of their bodies etc.

No it doesn't, the only increase lightning chakra flow gives is that it increases the sharpness of the weapon. However if it's launched by somebody enhancing themselves with lightning armour then yes since you're enhancing your synapses that would transfer over to when you launch kunai.

Gilthunder use to be such a badass. Feels like the recent episodes are downplaying him.

Ay is proof of this, as well as Kakashi using chidori and not being able to keep up.
The reasoning is because it cuts through the went , lessening resistance , i.e. Going faster
