Itachi was an Uchiha that betrayed the Uchiha.


To me that's like, if you are part of a criminal gang and you decide to help the police instead.

The criminals are all oppressed people so you can understand them, but their goal is bad, maybe killing them all is a bit too much but the moral of the story I think is that people can stille see the bigger picture even if they seem limited to a certain group of people.

Like, you have all the reasons to be bad, but you choose to be good anyway.


IT's like you are taught good things, instead of being a brat.

Itachi didnt just betrayed Uchiha, he did that in order to stop the war and save Sasuke. About that criminal / police thing, i never sold anyone and i was even On probation punishment because of the others, while they all act so high and mighty but when it comes to deal with the real thing, you cant even recognize that person anymore. Agreed however he is still treacherous. When you think upon the subject regardless of intentions and motives, betrayal is never just. Are you familiar with the term "walk a mile in someones shoes"* ???

Put yourself in the person being betrayed position and you'll see it is never just.

hardly a traitor. he was born uchiha, but his loyalty was mostly with the leaf to begin with. Itachi is still pretty awful though. Danzo could never pressure Itachi as he did to The Third. The reins on Itachi were the possibilities of the Leaf weakening from the coup and Sasuke's death. Itachi, the only one who could carry out this plan, had complete control over both of those. Had he held out on his orders and said no, he could've forced the Leaf to accept negotiations that they wouldn't have otherwise. Did Itachi really think the Leaf's heads would deny negotiations if their only alternative was to invite an entire village worth of invaders to a weakened Leaf? They would have easily recognized it's a lose-lose and that the most preferable scenario would be to retain their most powerful clan, not lose ridiculous numbers to quell the coup, and to be ruled by hostile allies opposed to complete enemies.
