He said to be the prodigy of his year but he can't even Byakugan even Sarada got Sharingan. I mean how low is that, plus as a Hyuga's, the gentle fist is not even his arsenal i mean how lame is that as descendants of Hyuga he fail to be a good representative of his clan he just a normal kid with Kagebunshin that all.

Even stupider Momoshiki mention his power and fate mostly came from his blood of Hyuga not even from Naruto how foolish is that statement as we all know Boruto already carbon copy of Naruto and resemble nothing from his mother. Really the writer?

He can't even Byakugan because he doesn't have it. It's easier to use and gain extra power from the Sharingan then any other doujutsu, so that's not saying much.

Tell me what training did Sarada do to awaken the Sharingan again?

Boruto was a shitly thought out character, they're trying to force prodigy down our throats to justify his ass pulls. His character makes no sense past I want to give him handouts so I'll just label him a prodigy. The prodigies(Itachi, Minato, Orochimaru, Kakashi, Sasuke, Neji etc) of the series weren't pulling things out of their rear end like Clone(Boruto).

I don't see why Konoha would be surprised by it tbh.

That's why just drop his prodigy tag, he cant even do gentle fist, someone who born from Hyuga mother he fails to manifest Byakugan he is so lame, i mean Hinata must be sad to have a child like him. Kagebunshin is just a simple jutsu any fodder could learn.

Hinata and Neji got Byakugan through rigorously training for at least some 10 years non-stop, and you think Bolt who hates training will just unlock Byakugan? Even Himawari who unlocked it only happened for a small burst, as noted by Hiashi, as Byakugan needs work to unlock, unlike the Sharingan, and even further work to master, unlike the Sharingan.

lmao The Hyuga episodes already explained this already, so your thread makes no sense.

At this point he already called as prodigy but he is not because he cant even do hyuga training and obtain byakugan, i think you got my point. Himawari got it by accident she even a small little girl, there is nothing stop Boruto to do Hyuga training at this point since he called as 'prodigy'.

Are all of you Boruto/Hyuuga haters racial/genetic supremacists?

Having or lacking genetic traits don't make you a prodigy, so it is irrelevant that he lacks the byakugan.

You earn the recognition as a genius/prodigy based on the things that you do and achieve, not based on your genes.
Boruto has the prodigy status because with minimal training and experience, he has mastered 3 elements, rasengan (and added nature to it), and according to Kakashi, has overall demonstrated at least chunin level skill since before even graduating the academy.

How the heck would your manifestation of genetic traits make you a prodigy? Any bozo with the right genes could manifest certain genetic traits given the right genes!

Let's say hypothetically, that there was an Uchiha born. However, this Uchiha was known to be incredibly mentally challenged. It took this Uchiha until the age of 20 to be able to count to 5, and this Uchiha took hours and hours to figure out how to open a door that said "pull" (he kept pushing on it). However, it is also known that at the age of 5, this Uchiha saw his grandma get killed and he awakened the sharingan at 5 as a result. Now tell me:

Is this guy a genius or a prodigy? (Keep in mind that I never said that he knew how to use his sharingan, or that he knew how to fight. I just said that he awakened the eyes, so you can't even really say that this makes him a battle prodigy).

Also, one other thing: Boruto does use gentle fist (just not to the degree that most Hyuugas do).

So called prodigy but he would get destroyed by all previous ninjas that we had before at the same age as he is now

Kakashi,Itachi,Sasuke,Neji and others and even Naruto would wreck this fodder to pieces

Don't you see how paradoxical this is? The whole reason Boruto could do these things with minimal training is because he had the innate ability to. He didn't figure or follow some successful method, it just happened naturally.

If I'm reading the spoilered right, what you're getting at is that Boruto would still need to know how to use what he was gifted, but it doesn't really take much brains for that. There's a reason the Uchiha has to be literally retarded in your scenario.

Innate talent or not, either way Boruto's feats are still things that he has to willingly do himself. This is unlike the awakening of a dojutsu like the sharingan, that happens completely accidently and is out of the control of the user.

The OP is basically suggesting that you are a prodigy just by having some physical feature that is just based on genetic inheritance alone, and that you cannot call yourself a prodigy if you don't manifest some special gene.

Also, technically Boruto did figure out some method to accomplish his feats. By simply learning the jutsu (regardless of how easy it was), Boruto actually put in the effort. We even see in one or two episodes that Boruto actually asked Mitsuki about various wind style techniques. Learning via being taught is a form of training. Therefore, it didn't just happen naturally (except for the adding nature to the rasengan since that was unconscious, but none of his other feats were just natural. They were learned.).

@Bold: Yes it does take brains to know how to use what you have. It is like what Black Zetsu said about the sharingan. Most "gifts" are essentially tools that can be effective or ineffective based on the intelligence of the user. Do you really think that the guy in my scenario would have the presence of mind to use the sharingan like the likes of Sasuke, Itachi, Sarada, etc...?

Anyway, all in all, I am mainly attacking the OP's stupid racism and belief that you must manifest the traits of some "genetically superior race" to be a prodigy.

Adding that wind nature was his worst offense. @Bold, but you must. It's true even in Naruto's case, the only reason he could train to extent he did was because he had Kurama backing him. Even Lee.

When everyone is given a single method to achieve results, then one person beats out their peers by a decent margin with an equal amount of effort, there is something fundamentally different about that person. Look at the Nara's and how they're practically born with high iqs.

Its actually better that he's recognized as a genius prodigy when he hasn't even truly awakened his doujutsu. Once he awakens the jougan he'll leave his peers down in the dust. With the uchihas it was more of the greatest cheating tool the sharingan to help them to be a genius. Boruto on the other hand is already recognized as a prodigy even without his doujutsu.

i cant deal with this topic. everyone points at genetic advantages to diss characters then proceed to wank another character for the same reason XD
