Neji was ridiculously talented though. A prodigy among prodigies and said to be greatest talent ever produced by the Hyuuga. Effortlessly climbed to Jonin rank as well before he got left on the backburner alongside the rest of the K12 and anyone whose last name wasn't 'Uchiha' by Kishi. That again is simply liberties taken by the author.

I personally wouldnt call it wanking but it was a very heavily focused story on naruto and sasuke and therefore senju/uchiha had a great deal of relevance and expansive knowledge.

The Hyuga were only relevant in part one and for a very short period of time. The Hyuga claim to be the strongest in the leaf sans senju and uchiha, no one seems to discredit that within their universe. The manga then goes to part 2 where they loose all relevance and only focuses on a select group because now the manga was expanded within the confines of the Leaf Village. Now in part 3 the hyuga seemed to get relevance but is immediately shafted with the appearance of the Otsutsuki and with Ikemoto instead of Kishi doing the work that seems to be another reason for them to have no development. The Hyuga simply got the short end of the stick.

ehhh not fair.. the hyuga was never developed further past p1.

the only time that they were picked back up against was during The Last and that's only due to the tenseigan so that does not really count. even still, kishi really did not favour anyone other than the uchiha as even with the reveal of Kaguya and Hamura, he never did give them the tenseigan even though we was working with the The Last movie at the time therefore the existence of the tenseigan already exists.

As for the jougan, mehhhhh it's a story of kodachi and ikemoto so I can never take it seriously. I mean, Boruto chakra mode byakugan illustration of Kishi has been retconned and we were given this one eyed Boruto instead.

Madara isn't the strongest, Sasuke currently is.

All the others, of other clans, don't count. Consider the circumstances.

Naruto is not 100% of uzumaki blood. If you're referring to the uzumaki's of uzushiokagure(however it's spelled),

The current uzumaki clan, well, the blood is thinned, and Naruto is the only adult uzumaki alive.

Kaguya isn't a ninja.Exclude her.Also, there's tons of other ootsusuki members out there, possibly stronger.

Hiruzen, WAS the strongest.

Neji WAS among the most strongest, but is assumed to be THE strongest due to lack of representation of hyuga clan members and their feats.

Neji is pretty weak when compared with the strongest of each individual clans, but he's pretty strong for a lad that came out of one of the weakest clans in the series (even weaker than the Sarutobi clan, a non-KKG clan). He's of a greater caliber than Hiashi, one of the best nuts in the Hyuuga clan, in my opinion.
