I understand for the most part is because Boruto is indeed a different Shounen Main character, even the creators wanted to do something different with him then just being a clone, he was meant to be himself only and that’s it. People comparing Boruto to Madara, Naruto, Sasuke and whatever op character is in the series can be considered as normal; though that doesn’t confirm me saying it is a fact but an understanding from what they’re stating. He’s the main character and you shouldn’t be suprise at that.
