Noone is going to give them the right to do so, they just will do it if they can.
Has a lion the right to eat a gazelle?
Losers like us?
We also treat animals as livestocks.
You say that, as if that's a reason for intelligent life to treat intelligent life as "livestock". Then, who compares animals to humans? You're not thinking straight, and that was just a your poor excuse.
"We also treat animals as livestocks"...that's so manipulative, and not an impactful enough of a statement, to actual mean anything.
My words exactly. And If by 'right' you mean would it be fair/karma if they did since we do the same to countless species then I agree with you, they do have the right in that respect. So does an artificial general intelligence if we ever develop it.
According to us and our emotions/desires it'll be wrong and amoral, we will detest and resist it despite the fact that cows, chickens, ducks, goats, fish, and all others feel the same way about how we treat them; and about us as a species. I will have a few curse words about being included in their genocide of our species but i wouldn't blame them if they used our own treatment of other species (and even our own species; racism anyone?).
Okay, too many sci-fi movies. Come back to planet earth!
It seems you underestimate the intelligence of every animal.
Chimpanzé are somewhat smart, some scientists teached some chimp some of our words and those monkeys can dialogue with humans using draws, elephants are smart, sharks are smart, even cows are smart.
You know chimp have more than 99% of common genes with humans?
What is your standard to consider an animal "intelligent"?
Imagine the aliens have the same standards as you do, they will say that everyspecies that is less intelligent that them deserve to be in their plates, and if humans are less intelligent than them, as it should be if they come to Earth, we'll be their livestock...
Aww, animals treated as social experiments, not the self-taught ones. A "pet", to be exact.
That's not significantly intelligent. That's like, "1-2 year old human" mental development, at max. Not significant, and you're giving these monkeys entirely too much credit, which seems to be done a lot in human culture. I'm so sick of the exaggerations.
Being pressured by humans to be able to put a cup over your head, is not intelligent, it's overestimating animals, and beyond infantile.
please stop trying to make something special out of animals, with low mental capacities. It's desperate.
It's all about survival. It has nothing to do with right and wrong. Sure. We polluted this blue planet, but we can set things the right way.
This statement, makes you a gossiping
sell out.
I'm displeased with this thread, now.
