Sarada did nothing?

I hear alot of fans say that sarada is like a background charaacter that isn't focused on.

let me explain how that is false:

1-She helped Boruto defeat kagemasa

2-She had 6 episodes focused on her entirely

3-An entire episode dedicated to her against Buntan

4-In team 7's first mission she was the one to defeat the enemy:

5-She was the one to find out one of the thieves is an ice style user

6-She soloed the mujina thieves single-handedly

7-She defeated shojoji

8- She destroyed high-level puppets ninja tech

9-She kicked Ao an S-rank criminal

10- formulating the plan and beating Konohamaru

Doesn't need justification. Sarada's only been a great character, disregarding the innumerable times she and Mitsuki are needlessly set aside for Boruto's superfluous development.

Ps. Sarada has an equal amount of triumphs as Mitsuki in terms of what she's done, even discounting the combat area of her character.

Development formulation: If it takes away from key interest, nerf em or let them fade away in the background.

We see it happening to the Hyugas. The Uzumakis. The Senjus. They get their development stunted and they become irrelevant or be nerfed or they get rid of them entirely.

Sarada is one of the key person of interest. However her contributions only amount to being circumstantial. Developing her further takes away too much from Boruto's progress as a character. So she is sidelined.


Again with the situational circumstances: Sakura during the Kaguya Arc. Sakura and/or Kakashi had no business being there but was carried and protected and did well against Kaguya because of the whole "we gotta do the Team 7 thing" One of the circumstances where 2 characters who lost their relevancy came back to being relevant due to this deux machina just so they can have a Team bond feels. I mean Sakura became almost godlike and delivering a finishing blow against Kaguya. Someone who has their chakra completely depleted due to dimension hopping still manages to be in the fight, with a goddess no less.

Basically this.

We constantly see Boruto's superflous development grow to the detriment of other characters and the last chapter is a perfect demonstratiton of it:

1. Konohamaru got shitted on again just so Boruto could shine
2. Ao's Byakugan never really made an appearance because it was either Ao activates his Byakugan or Boruto wins the fight
3. Both Sarada and Mitsuki were clearly sidelined just so Boruto could have the spotlight
4. Boruto keeps winning all the fights against Jonin level opponents all the time

So yeah, at this point, it's already pretty clear that Sarada's and Mitsuki's respective developments will never grow as long as Boruto is on the panel.

That's exactly what I don't like about the Boruto series tbh. At least in Naruto, the protagonist gave room for other characters to grow while he had development as well. That doesn't happen in Boruto. Boruto is the only one getting all the proper character development.

It's just the poor writing from ikemoto, but give it time the plot has just started, plenty of time for sarada and mitsuki to shine.
