How could Sasuke be immortal?

When both Hagoroma and Hamura died of old age. Sasuke was only given half of Hagoroma's powers, and the furthest he could have possibly taken himself would be taking Naruto's half. So, in the best case scenario, Sasuke would be in Hagoroma's position. He could have hypothetically drained the Hyugas for what little they have to get Hagoromo's half of Kaguya; though, odds are it wouldn't work like that since Hagoroma's powers and chakra didn't appear because of a mass of chakra but the specific chakras of Ashura and Indra.

Same goes for Madara. If he hadn't absorbed the tree, he would've died while everyone slept in IT.

You’re forgetting that Hagoromo wanted to die. He could’ve been immortal if he wanted to but the fact is, Nagato’s “youth” was restored when he absorbed Killer B’s bijuu cloak, therefore if Sasuke absorbs the Bijuu; he would live forever. Assuming he wanted to.

Yeah, because remember, Kaguya’s power came from the chakra fruit. The Bijuu are Kaguya’s power and the Chakra fruit grants immortality. It’s all connected.
