So either Hagormo did not give him rsm, or Indra was that much of a badass take on his brother despite him having it.

Or

The "power" hagoromo gave him wasn't the type of power that could be used in battle.

No they weren't equal.They only became equal when Hagoromo transfered his Ninshuu power which is RSM + he had the help of his clansmen of Senjus whereas Indra was given zero power + no outside helP.AsurA's main theme is recieval of Help from his brothers through the power of 'love'/somE kind of similar asspull powerup which is the exact same theme the Orange haired blue pig prophecy boy is using to solo his outclassed enemies.And that orange haired little BS boy's housewife, who is pretty literally trashfeatless.

He did but it's not the Six path Sage mode. He said that the power he gave to Naruto and Sasuke is the very same thing he gave to Ashura.

It wouldn't make sense for Hagormoo to say that he gave the power of the rinnegan and SPSM to Ashura which yielded the same results, and then say that he gave the very same Rinnegan/SPSM to Naruto and Sasuke which ended in the same.

Ashura never had the rinnegan and hagormoo never taught or gave ninshuu to naruto and sasuke.
