I've said this before.

The writers aren't dumb, they are purposefully severely limiting the amount of screen time she receives. She's too OP and Hax for their own good. They want to milk this series as much as possible and they can't do that if they have someone like Himawari soloing the villains left and right, stealing Boruto and co's thunder. Her potential is Kaguya tier honestly. So don't be surprised if we don't see much of her.

if Himawari's byakugan was still active then it would mean that Boruto's Jougan stuff would also be a focus for the household and Boruto would've been going through more Hyuga training

you can't have that since then he would've been more OP then he already is and have him be an elite
