Is Itachi an example of wasted potential?

I still enjoy what he did in his life time,but I believe he could've have been less selfless and do things by himself.Surely he would have found other ways to deal with Sasuke rather than let him achieve a fake victory.

I'm pretty sure he and everyone else who knew Itachi were aware of what he was capable if he was really serious and at full power.One example is making both Nagato and Kabuto look like rookies.Oh and Orochimaru=D

But I guess he didn't care about life at all after killing his clan and all he waited was for Sasuke to fight him.Really wasted potential.

Itachi's fan base is strong, the only way that he could've had a bigger impact, was for him to remain a bad guy with incredible power. Then they could've written him having a DIFFERENT pivotal role in stopping the war, since he's a master of tsukuyomi.

He maximised his potential. The only thing which would have made him stronger than he was is stealing Sasuke's eyes and not getting sick. Other than that, what you see is what you get.

Though above all, what I believe is the most scary thing about him is his crazy ass speed.He literally fucked Edo Nagato with increased mobility and shared vision 360° without him realizing any of that bullsh!t.

He didn't make Nagato look like a rookie. He had help from two jinchuurikis (and indirectly Kabuto since Nagato couldn't move when Itachi stabbed him with totsuka due to being under Kabuto's control).

Madara koodara is one of the most overrated characters in this fandom.His character is trash.Like it or not, Itachi slapped the cripple which your, little brittle IQ, could not comprehend.Yasaka Magatama is an Imperial Regalia weapon which is in equal status with Totsuka and Yata.Dont compare it with that trash character's trash yasaka magatama which dont compare with Itachi's.Itachi was schooling Naruto.
