That scenario is very unlikely for storytelling reasons though. The chances of Zoro not being the one to fight the Shogun are pretty slim for obvious reasons, so Marco's main fight will most likely be against Weevil or King (Kaido's strongest subordinate).
What reasons? Guarantee those reasons can just be applied to Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbei fighting the Calamities instead.
We literally don't know anything about the Shogun
Yeah, and we know nothing about Wano and how it's gonna do down at all. By this lame logic, we shouldn't be having this thread/discussion at all. Everything here is going to be hypothetical guesswork at best.
and there's 0% chances he's on Kaidos level that literally makes no sense at all.
He's the warrior leader of a warrior nation whose strength is so renowned and revered, the WG lets it do whatever it wants and no one disturbs it. It makes perfect sense for the Shogun to be on the level of a top tier. The next time you reply to me, leave the BS buzzwords out and make an actual argument.
And you would have to be even crazier to think Marco is going to beat a Kaido level guy when he suffered an overwhelming defeat to pre skip BB.
We have no idea how that fight went down. Not to mention that large scale fights go differently than 1 vs 1s due to the chaotic randomness and countless scenarios of chance that can play out. And that's ignoring that Marco could simply be stronger now than he was then.
Marco doesn't need to be stronger than the novas at all, he's part of the old gen his time is up.
This is a rather dumb thing to say considering the generation immediately before the new one is still very much a relevant threat to them.
It's really funny to me that people seriously think that Oda is going to have Luffy and the novas take down Kaido but ultimately in the end still be weaker than Marco that's just completely illogical.
Right because there's absolutely no way 3>1 can be a concept any one will ever be capable of ever understanding.
