An animation studio will do whatever they want even if it breaks continuity or not. This is so obvious with Naruto fillers as it is with Boruto and Kishimoto throwing in some ideas means nothing, we don't even know what it was, so the burden of proof is on you.

Contradict the Manga, contradict the Databook with proper evidence. A translated interview by some fan means nothing. It is not even the fan translating, it is how one can take this claim posted on the internet and take it for granted but one can't expect you to understand this.

It’s a filler arc, BUT just to play along cause I’m bored; they’re not the same regardless and minato is still the inventor regardless. It literally just kinda looks like one. I’ve never seen a rasengan with lil rasengans INSIDE of it. Even by your own logic it’s not a rasengan. For ex. Kakashi created chidori right? But it sure looks and works a lot like a 4 finger hell stab. You wouldn’t say the 3rd raikage created chidori cause he had something that looked identical before right? Well there you go

OT: Kishi's retconned before so it's not impossible. Minato had made FTG originally(fairly certain) then turns out it was Tobirama. Also Edo Tensei was pretty much implied to be Oro's jutsu until guess what...Tobirama.

Chidori as sphere-shaped raiton was only shown in part 1 anime and it's an animation mistake which was later corrected in part 2. In manga chidori was never portrayed like that.
