How did you get into 3D modeling?

Fanart. I used to participate in a game's forum when I wasa bit younger and it hosted fanart contests. I couldn't really(and still can't) draw, so I just took another approach to my fan art. They definitely weren't great, but they weren't all that worse than now, just less detailed because I didn't sculpt(and now I hardly model ironically).
