Isn't it funny that Sarada is everything Orochimaru literally wants in a vessel, without the influence of his power, and yet Mitsuki is being put of as the perfect offspring of Orochimaru.
Why isn't he interested, im sure Mitsuki spills all the tea on his teammates to Orochimaru.

Ill get flack for this but, she literally have more potent eyes than both Sasuke and Itachi had.
Which Orochimaru was jealous off.
She is naturally talented, which orochimaru is jealous off.
She has the Tsunade factor and the potential to be part Tsuande (which Orohcimaru showed envy off)
To say she has a strong body would be an understandment.

So bascially she has the power of two Sanin and Uchiha DNA , with a powerful body.

Orochi showed his lack of interest during Gaiden.

He made a synthetic sharingan 30 years ago for Danzou and likely now has even better research and tech to do many things.

Regardless instead he advises Mitsuki to keep him up to date on Boruto.

Like any scientist, eventually new research expands the field, and Orochimaru is now at the phase that he has bigger and broader plans that are beyond some small earthy clan.


NOTE: Kaguya/Hagoromo/Hamura and the Otsutuski were not a factor back in the day when he was after Sasuke.

Don't think her eyes can be more potent than Sasuke's. Sasuke basically had the eyes of the original Sharingan wielder with the innate ability to awaken choku tomoe like Madara before him

I always thought that Sasuke it's his most desirable vessel. Since he no longer capable to gain Sasuke's he create Mitsuki a body full with Sage chakura. He should be gunning for six paths abilities like their sage mode, Universal comprehension, 5 natures (if he doesn’t already idk) etc.

That would help him learn many more techniques than the sharingan which can only copy basic elemental jutsu and what not

Jougan, hand seal.. A lot of things going on that Oro himself doesn't understand or wants to see where they lead to. Don't forget that what he did once with Sasuke (Watching where his "wind" would take him") could be the same with Boruto.

Anyway, Orochimaru while being an irrelevant character he knows something, in the Gaiden we see his speech about Mitsuki becoming the light together with the sun that will illuminate the darkness, so for Oro there is Darkness alright, or new Dark times ahead.
