Dude no body wants to see a series thats full of children who are weak again as the ones before. Adding this power creep makes things interesting. Naruto fans are spoiled due to Naruto and Sasuke. Why would you care about ninja that are weaker than them if they had nothing special?
That's like saying why would I want to watch Naruto when Goku is much stronger? Tension and suspense doesn't come from just power, it's got to be relative to the situation, I wouldn't want to see Boruto vs Madara for example because Madara is way more powerful but I would want to see Boruto vs Shinki, not because they're both insanely powerful, but because they're both of similar levels and that's where the interesting part comes in. That's why a lot of amatuer boxing matches are more fun to watch than a lot of pro boxing matches, it's all about the match up. Breaking the rules of the universe just to make people OP makes no sense. I can't just overlook the fact that everyone is now effortlessly leagues more powerful than they should be just because it looks cooler. It's ****ing dumb.

Ikemoto changed the power levels in order to attract viewers. But they are still weaker.

Previous generations had much more resistence.

And btw, you can do a simple tech and still span much power. Izuna beats a water dragon with just Fire Ball.

The previous attacks had much more "substance".
idek what you're trying to say...

Some differences between Naruto Childhood and Boruto's:

1.- 15 years has passed since 4th war in Boruto and 12 years since 3rd war in Naruto. This causes a bigger development in the village. New standards.
2.- Konoha was not allied with no one except barely Sunagakure in Naruto and in Boruto everyone is allied. This shows no more internal missions with other villages therefore they just need to concentrate in creating more stronger ninjas and more security to just focus training.
3.- Naruto and Sasuke did not have parents. Reason why Naruto was fodder at the beginning, with some training we knew that Naruto also was a genius. Sasuke learned the Katon while his dad was alive. But then? No more Technics. Ino, Shikamaru and Choji already had there clan jutsus just as new gen. Nothing new. Iwabe has been in academy for to long reason he has great jutsus for academy.

And the main difference in the academy, is BORUTO he is the one that makes his friends achieve a new level unlike in Naruto where no one were real friends and no one helped each other. Here in Boruto, Kakashi even said that Boruto is the reason that the academy kids are growing except that they lack of a real goal. Also, Iruka was a chunnin, what can a chunnin teach. Shino is a Jonnin and is better.

4.- Other things.

What I'm trying to say is that the "weakest" punch of kid Hashirama is still stronger than the mightiest punch of Boruto.
There, I said it.

4.- Other things.
1. Missions are better for you overall than just straight training, real life scenarios make you stronger, that's why Hashirama's generation were so much stronger, they were having to fight from early on and having to develop their skills.
Naruto was not a genius, he had to train hard to get to where he was, and even then he almost never won a single fight without the 9 tails involving himself.

2. Naruto doesn't train with Boruto, nor does Hinata, because Boruto doesn't have the byakugan. In fact Boruto doesn't seem to do ANY training outside of the academy, he spends all his time eating cheeseburgers, playing video games and collecting trading cards, yet he's stronger than Naruto, and stronger than even Sasuke before he recieved his curse mark, despite sasuke being a genius, who trained every single day and was the reincarnation of Indra!

3. The Ino, Shika, Cho trio are much stronger than their parents were during even the chunin exams, ChoCho can use the partial expansion jutsu, which choji couldn't do even during the chunin exams, he could only turn himself into that boulder thing, Shikadai can not only use his shadow jutsu much better than shikamaru, and for much longer, he can also use WIND STYLE jutsu like temari, and Inojin can use super beast scroll, and the mind body transfer jutsu. THESE ARE KIDS WHO'VE NOT EVEN LEFT THE ACADEMY.

*Edit*
Also sasuke isn't ever around so how has Sarada learned so many shuriken jutsu and fire style jutsu?
Also Inojin on top of knowing, super beast scroll, and mind transfer, he knows MEDICAL NINJUTSU. Which requires amazing chakra control, and years of training, Sakura and Ino didn't even start attempting to learn medical ninjutsu until the end of the first Naruto series.

There's nothing to prove that... not to mention Hashirama was a reincarnation of Asura, and he grew up in a time of war, in which he was forced to fight in battles from a young age, forcing him to grow stronger than usual. Hashirama was trained since birth and had seen many real life battles and fights to the death by the time he'd reached Boruto's age, and Boruto has done nothing but eat cheeseburgers and play video games.

That is why average life during the clan war was about teen age. They never had time to develop. And hard work is being a Genius. He have the evidence in Boruto were they have more jutsus therfore more potential. This did not happen in Naruto. Now they would need battle experience like you say to make their technics more effective and get smarter.

2.- It is called OFFPANEL. We dont need to see everything. We saw he learned water jutus, how he learned raiton. But we didnt see all his training. Also, Naruto was not Hokage when Boruto was younger, so maybe Naruto taught him in those days. Boruto in the series is mad since Naruto doesnt pass more time with him since Naruto now does Hokage work. Why would he be mad?

3.- That is what I am telling you. The standards has increase due everything. They have more opportunities than before and they also already had some real battle experience even when they were in academy, something that in Naruto did not happen. Even Kakashi made them a similar exam to academy kids than when did it to his team 7.

You are basically proving my point. But I agree. Boruto is a couch potato and kid Hashirama a full fledged warrior.

It actually wouldn’t be a bad idea to take a step back. In all honesty the kids should be weaker than the adults not the other way around. You say Naruto fans are spoiled by this but it’s the same for Boruto fans. You guys want to see giant mountain busting techs from Genin and it leaves very little room for growth in the respect of powers and abilities. The only way up is for everyone to become god tier.

Since they are introducing ninja tech, perhaps they should have had the academy students incorporate various types of techs to compliment and enhance their low level skills to make things new and interesting. Instead only team 7 get all the fun toys while everyone else is left behind.

There isn’t much of a story granted because it’s still in its infancy. But the power levels are a little overkill, I can forgive Boruto and Sarada being that their fathers are gods in their own right. But the OP is right to an extent. The pacing of the manga is a bit off, and the Anime is a beast of its own.

But hey maybe it will get better...but I kind of doubt it will get that far. Here’s to hoping I’m wrong though it does have potential but they all seem more concerned with money than story

Boruto is a continuation of a manga that lasted a good 15 years. We are coming off a time where we saw DBZ level feats. Rather you like it or not people will not put up with whats weaker unless it attracts them in a special kinda way. Naruto never stayed consistent to its own power scaling. Like look at the War arc the type of fighting we saw there was beyond anything we saw in part 1 when Hirizen fought the two edo Hokages. Expecting it to change now and make a complete part 1 level fight will not attract people because they know they have seen better in Naruto and Sasuke. Point is people will always settle for the best and not the worse. Simple as that.

No, no, no, no, no!
All the academy students are stronger than their parents were during the chunin exams!
All the genius characters in Naruto (orochimaru, Sasuke, Itachi, Kakashi, Minato) they were all powerful and recognised for their natural talent, and yes they stood out amongst the other ninja, but they all also trained their asses off, they didn't sit around, eating cheesburgers and playing video games.
Lol not even.

Bolt would get his butt handed to him by the same Naruto that fought Mizuki thanks to the sheer number of clones even if Bolt is stronger on a more technical level.
Salad gets stomped by Sasuke easily as well, naturally.
Mitsuki is a gary-stu science project by Orochimaru, so it makes sense why he is strong.
Iwabe is understandable since he is 2 years older than the others.
Sumire trained the majority of her life for revenge, like Sasuke, so again, makes sense.

And of course, the remainder of the students are featless or way weaker than their parents, like Chocho or Shikadai.

Naruto had Kyubi chakra amp when he took down Mizuki and wouldn't normally be able to create that many shadow clones, and Boruto would more than likely still stomp just by using his jutsu to destroy the squishy shadow clones, Mizuki had no elemental jutsu, because HE WAS ONLY A CHUNIN.

Early genin sasuke doesn't even have the sharingan, so no Sarada stomps, she's shown to have at least equal jutsu feats when it comes to fire style, and she has even better shuriken feats, as well as shown to have much better chakra control as she has super human strength, she stomps sasuke into the ground.

I'm kind of okay with Mitsuki's power, like yeah it's kind of dumb that he'd be that strong, but being a test tube baby it does't bother me too much.

Academy student Boruto would stomp Forest of death Sasuke prior to him getting the curse mark, and Sasuke trained every day whereas Boruto NEVER TRAINS, he doesn't maintain a healthy diet, he literally is just naturally OP. Makes no sense, and you're coming up with no good arguments as to why he's so powerful.

Hiruzen was an old man, he was in a confined space, so he wasn't prime and he didn't have much room to move, and as it was explained Hashirama and Tobirama were brought back with only a fraction of their power so that explains why the fight was underwhelming, not to mention Hiruzen pulled off nearly 3 reaper death seals in one go, that's super OP.
Saying "a lot of people want to see big flashy fights" doesn't mean the show is good, nor does it give a good enough reason for the giant plothole that is Boruto.

I'm guessing English isn't your first language so I'll just try and interpret what you're saying.

1. Real life battles do make you stronger, they introduce scenarios that training can't and make you push your boundaries further, and grow more. You gain more strength if you're in a life or death situation than if you're just training, and they make you a lot smarter which is a huge part of strength.

2. Boruto is never shown training, whereas the characters that are training off panel announce that they are going to train, like metal lee, shikadai etc. Boruto is always left in the burger place, eating burgers and playing video games. HE DOESN'T TRAIN. He even says that things are just naturally easy to him, like the written test, the goal was to steal the information and the test was made super hard so that was the only logical choice, yet boruto just knew the answers without studying.

3. It still doesn't explain away how with far less experience than the generation before them, the new generation are a lot stronger. Their strength comes from nowhere, their learning speed is all genius level, and Boruto doesn't even need to train or learn anything he's just been born with skill and genius intellect without any explanation. The entire boruto story up until now is a plothole.

*Edit* It also doesn't explain the concern of the other Kage who all say they're worried that the next generation is too soft, and that they won't be strong enough if a new fanger arises in the future, even though they're all a lot stronger than the adults were at their age. Boruto the child taking down Kaguya level opponents with one Jutsu, makes a complete joke of the entire Naruto series.

It don't matter if he was not his prime. Point is that fight was a kage level fight. The characters in it were no where the same level as Naruto and Sasuke got in the War arc.

What I am saying is that when you got Naruto and Sasuke still in the series who we followed for around 15 years. Seeing characters part 1 level would not be exciting to watch cause it will be like starting all over again with the same story we had before. So that is why characters having something special about them is the way to move forward for them to get a different form of development. There is no point of watching a reboot of part one. Its not new nor fresh.

Yeah but Naruto and Sasuke were Gods in the war arc, Naruto could solo the 5 kage at the time, so the Hiruzen battle was a Kage level battle, you're just comparing them to six paths sage mode 9 tails naruto, which makes anyone look weak.

And if that's the case don't start the story with the academy levels then, you could start the story with some matured Jonin, Boruto doesn't have to start when they're 11 it can start when they're 16. At least then, it would make sense for them to be powerful, but then everyone would ***** that you don't get to see them grow, whereas now we see them as children but we still don't see them develop because they're ****ing born as chunin apparently.
Any way you look at it, the story is poor, it's a complete rehash of Naruto except with worse character, huge plot holes and terrible writing. It's trash.

*Edit* Just having huge flashy fights doesn't make a show good, are your favourite fights in the show only the fights in the war arc? Do you only like seeing shinobi like Sasuke and Naruto fight? If so you're an idiot.

Boruto is a piece of trash.
It makes no Goddamn sense, has pretty much no storyline, and everyone is super overpowered.

In the original show, Kakashi was shocked that Sasuke knew fire jutsu when he was a genin, as elemental jutsu is a chunin level feat, yet in boruto every sucker has elemental jutsu in the academy, so what? was sasuke not a genius? was he some chump, a big fish in a small pond?
Not only does every kid know some OP jutsu before even leaving the academy, some know multiple! Boruto can use wind and lightning nature (two of the rarest types btw) and he can run on water and even fight on it, before leaving the academy, and no other classmates are surprised by this which must mean they can all do it too.
In the original, team 7 were taught how to walk up trees in preperation for fighting Haku, Haku who was like Jonin level! It took them days to master (with the exception of Sakura) and they recieved a pretty hefty power boost after (with the exception of Sakura, because 0 x 2 still = 0). Then Naruto struggled to learn how to walk on water during the Chunin exams!! (admittedly he had trouble controlling his chakra because of Orochimaru's seal but still it was no cake walk) Yeah boruto is running around on water, he's shooting of wind style and lightning style techniques, before ever even leaving the academy! Fighting against full fledged shinobi in the mist village! It's not like Boruto trains his arse off either, all he does is eat cheeseburgers and play video games! Then come to the chunin exams, boruto not only learns the rasengan, but he combines it with nature chakra, without even trying to, and invents a new jutsu capable of one shotting a God.

Boruto is a ridiculous show/manga/movie and it's utter trash.
Get used to it.

Boruto the child taking down Kaguya level opponents with one Jutsu, makes a complete joke of the entire Naruto series.
Why do you guess that? I didn't write wrong.

1.- Yes, I agree. But that isn't what I am trying to show you. Battles with give what you said, but as I said, what can you improve in a real battle if you don't have nothing to improve? That is what I am trying to show. The more you learn, the more potential you have to exploit during a real battle and the more versatile you are you can adapt better.

2.- Even I can know the answers of a exam with no studying. As long as you pay attention to the class. And he does train. Not as much as other since he is more talented and that is for sure. And like I said, you dont to see everything, there is things that doesn't need to be explain. He trained with Naruto before coming Hokage.

3.- Why less experience? They have Shino as a teacher. That have done battle simulations many times with Shino that destroyed the Academy Class Room. The fought with ninjas of Mist Village, they fought with Kakashi and other teachers. Boruto stopped or helped in the incident of the Nue, helped to stop the the Gang (the ice fellow).

And I said, Boruto is motivating his classroom to develop. Boruto even made the classroom work together to defeat him. Team work. That is what the last generation lacked in the classroom. Everybody were selfish. Even the team of Ino, Shikamaru and Chouji did not work together in the classroom but in Boruto they were teams.

And what Choujuro said might be true, who knows. But he is forgetting something Naruto hasn't. Will.
