I thought so too. Ohnoki is actually the worst opponent Gaara can fight. Ohnoki can render all the sand nearby useless. So Gaara's only accesable sand is the one he carries with him.

And Ohnoki is as fast as a meteor too!

Well he could always create a clone hiding behind his sand armor and then switch it with himself while he goes into hiding. You're forgetting that Gaara has stopped carrying the huge gourd he used to carry and now carries a much smaller one which means he could create all the sand he needs from the surrounding using the small amount he carries. So its not impossible.
I am not saying that he wins or anything but he wouldn't get soloed or lose instantly either.

To be fair to the old boy he was pretty taxxed by that time, I can't see any reason why he wouldn't be able to do it without Tsunade's chakra.

But....a possibility.....is gaara's sand normal? I mean it can attack by itself irrespective of gaara will.... It's definitely not some thing ordinary.....I'm giving it that.

Sand clone substitute. I mean besides having the power to absorb ninjutsu, erasing ninjutsu or space time ninjutsu there is no counter for that jutsu from anyone.
