Does stupidity make entertainment more enjoyable?

Like if people didn't know about fillers or canon, and they just watched Boruto/Naruto, would that experience make them happier?
If people didn't know anything about the source material when they watch movies based on comicbooks, and they just judge it without knowing anything about anything, or anything connected to other movies or behind the scenes stuff, is the experience more pure in some way?

Or myabe if you don't know anything about when a movie or a song comes out, if suddenly you just hear a new song for the first time and you didn't hear about it months in advance, you didn't listen to it when it first appeared, and it's all random?

Yea, I started watching Shippuuden first, then I read the manga and was kinda surprised by how different it was. I mean it's naturla if you are interested in something that you want to find out every single thing about the project but sometimes I wonder if you lose a bit of the magic.
I remember watching the Guren arc with intensity and it never ended xD.

Maybe in a sense you get closer to something if you go in with a naked eye and you don't have too much information in front of you all the time.

I had a friend who kept talking to me about fillers xD and how ahead the manga was and eventually I caved in and gave up on the never ending Guren arc.

I just mean, art, entertainment, movies, music, video games, books, like is it sometimes better to not know too much about it and just absorb it?

Cus now especially with the internet you can gain so much information about what goes on with these things, updates on new projects and behind the scenes stuff etc and maybe that takes you out of it.

Like what if there was complete transparancy, you could easily get spoiled about any movie and you would know every step of the creative process, what would that be like?


I wanna know stuff about things I'm interested in as much as possible but sometimes I wonder if I try to get too much information.

It really depends on the form of entertainment. There are mediums meant to stimulate intellectual conversations or thoughts.

And there are forms of entertainment meant to just laugh, awe, or not have to to think about at all.

Anyone can enjoy any form of entertainment so long as they know what it is and what they expect from any said form of entertainment.

For example I don’t go to a Michael Bay film expecting a philosophical theme meant to engage my mind about the wonders of the Universe. I go to see buildings and cars explode.

Stupid is always fun but as I get older want a limit when world starts acting retarded I like see some more maturity. And entertainment is a reflection of life if majority of what we watch is stupid shit than that's what we see in real life.

Yeah my friend is going through Shippuden right now, he doesn’t care about canon and filler & he enjoys it all as a whole and appreciates the extra development even in full times
