Hagoromo’ Eyes

Question: Did hagoromo entrust his eyes to anyone? We know he entrusted his life’s work ninshu to ashura, then he split the juubi into the 9 biju and gave them homes, but what about his eyes. Plus if Obito, shisui, izuna and madara gave their eyes away he could have too.


Iirc, this topic never got a proper explanation, but it’s one of those question that should be answered. I’m not saying he 100% gave them away, I’m just asking how likely is it that he did and who he’d give them too. If he didn’t give them away, man that’s a wasted opportunity.

The Uchiha who gave away their eyes have absolutely no relevance to this post but I assume he didn’t. If anything, he sealed them away like Hamura’s people did (if I’m remembering that correctly). Zetsu wouldn’t have taken his eyes because no one would be able to bear them anyhow, so he decided to have the Uchiha unlock them personally.

You don have to hide in another dimension no escape black zetsu. You forget that yata mirror and totska exists and all the other various tools presumably left behind by hagoromo all weren’t in black zetsu possession. There’s no record of them being sent to a separate time-space. Again I dont see your point.

The location of his death wasn’t shown in manga, so any assumptions made cant be based on anything substantial. I do not know where he died. As for zetsu I gave other examples of hagoromo’ earthly possesions that escaped him. His eye, if preserved could have done the same.

Zetsu needed a person to actually awaken the rinnegan to undo the seal on the moon that was trapping the mazou within. He also needed a natural awakener of the rinnegan, so that this person could awaken the rinnesharingan after becoming the 10 tails jinchuuriki. This is why he sought to have an Uchiha (ultimately Madara) awaken the rinnegan instead of just going after Hagoromo's rinnegan. A borrowed rinnegan wouldn't be sufficient to complete the plan (which is why Black Zetsu was insistent on having Nagato or Obito revive Madara and getting the rinnegan back to Madara).

Anyway, it wouldn't be a wasted opportunity for Hagoromo to not give away his eyes. In fact, it would be counterproductive if he did give them away. Hagoromo didn't want anyone to be too powerful, and he specifically warned Indra and his descendants on the tablet not to​ mix Indra's and Asura's chakaras (Hagoromo did not want them or anyone else to awaken the rinnegan). Giving his eyes away​ then, would be counterproductive.

There’s no proof that Hagoromo was the one who left, created or even used those spirit weapons either. You also have to take into account that Black Zetsu wasn’t looking for those weapons; Orochimaru had been. So just because you choose not to see my logic, doesn’t mean the point isn’t being made. Let’s go over what we learned here today:

1.) Black Zetsu was around Hagoromo before and after his kids were born.
2.) Black Zetsu knew how to make the Uchiha awaken Hagoromo’s eyes
3.) Even if he took Hagoromo’s eyes, no Uchiha would be able to bear the strain of utilizing them because their bodies need Senju DNA to even tolerate One Rinnegan (as Obito stated). So he decided to have the Uchiha awaken it themselves.
4.)Black Zetsu altered the texts on the Uchiha’s Stone Tablet
5.)Hagoromo didn’t know of Black Zetsu’s existence
6.) No proof that:
-the aforementioned spirit weapons were left behind by Hagoromo.
-Black Zetsu had ever been searching for the spirit weapons nor could he not find them

So when you take into account all of these things, it starts to dawn that entire conversation is pointless.
