It's like u didn't read anything i said in the OP. first arc in boruto isn't a main plot arc also. however the first arc in dbs is the movie recap. boruto movie recap starts on epsode 52.This is where boruto really starts main plot-wise. and what's wrong with the sig? Mirai vs Boruto and sarada was awesome. go watch sarada vs buntan. boruto and mitsuki vs shizuma. sakura vs shin. mitsuki vs sumire. boruto's class vs senseis. these fights are awesome yet they're not part of the main plot
You stopped at episode 8? you have no right to judge boruto based on 8 episodes. it gets way better. and also like i said in the OP boruto anime has yet to start its MAIN plot. DBS started its main plot from the very first episode.

If the plot takes forever to start like 5 years or so it's a massive fail as no ones gonna be interested in it by that time. DB Super lasted for 2 years and it was an incredibly fun 2 years. Boruto will probably be on fillerish episodes till 2020. The plot isn't cohesive or interesting. It's a boy who wants to be the new Sasuke and a girl who wants to be Hokage the same as before except there is no compelling background rivalry or competent villains like Madara.

This is pretty much what everyone’s trying to get at, borutos pacing isn’t the fans fault. It’s just really really bad. I’d bet that 80% of the people not really into boruto would have been had they started with better pacing from the get go. Hell dbs rehashed 2 movies and still felt better paced
Like I said, it doesn’t matter, the only reason people are even comparing it like that is because boruto is so god awfully slow, by the time boruto is at a main plot point super would have been over for who knows how long. The boruto team dropped the ball, bad. The fact that your telling people to wait to compare just furthers the point. What episode of boruto are we on now? 48?
And thats how the series was for 90% of its debut. Ever since the Pain Arc fights were never this dumbed down and I have no issues with it because the current kunai fights bore me. When I compare Pain Arc, War Arc and even the Kage Summit Arc this current series seems like a joke in comparison. Naruto's pacing wasnt this slow
DB villains were never supposed to be complex. They exist only for the flashy explosions and the fun factor and the series doesnt try to become something it isnt. The fights are fun. Thats all that counts. And Naruto itself isnt as great contender in that aspect. Since the Pain Arc, the quality of the villains has gone down drastically. I would take Jiren as an antagonist over Kaguya any day, she was that bad and rushed.
I cant read the manga because I find the artstyle to be a complete joke. I am surprised Kishi doesnt take offense to his precious work being ruined by a new artist. The DB Super manga also has a newbie involved but the artstyle is 10x better
