Do you think Naruto and Sasuke needed a different female teammate?

So, we all know Sakura in PTS Naruto is pretty much powerless and useless (Thanks Kishi) and mainly is used as a love interest for Naruto. If there was an another girl on the team (instead of Sakura) who can wipe the floor with Naruto and Sasuke, would it be better for the plot? In this case, Naruto wants to improve to make her stop beating him and gain her interest and Sasuke feels even more powerless than the actual series since he is behind of both of his teammates. It would be interesting to watch a girl mock Naruto because she can beat him easily. Sakura mocking Naruto does not make any sense since Sakura is useless in part 1. Also we would have much cooler fight scenes against oro, zabuza, gaara, sasuke etc. Sakura vs Ino was just lame.

Or Sakura could be a genius in part one and she could fall behind in part 2 to show the development of Naruto and Sasuke. When she beats Naruto in a real fight in part one and teases him because of it, it would be much more real and funny than her hitting him randomly.

But here’s the real question, is she attracted to Sasuke like the others girls their age? If so, it could change the dynamic or the story, whether Sasuke likes her back or not. Example: She would stand in to protect Sasuke in more situations than Naruto had and would be like Hinata stepping up to Pain. I don’t necessarily think it’s a good idea because Kishimoto doesn’t write good “shipping” scenarios but I digress. No male wants to be getting saved by a female all the time, our egos can’t tolerate it.

I'd replace Sakura with Hinata. Would make this team far more interesting seeing as it would have the three main clans in one team.

If she was part of some clan that had some special kkg she would have potinetial. Otherwise I saw no potinetial in a girl whose only goal was to fall for Sasuke.

They needed a hyuga team mate to complete the kaguya line, naruto/Sasuke = Hagoromo, Hyuga = Hamura.

Just make sakura a hyuga from the start or as people said replace her with Hinata, Neji or another hyuga.

offensive genjustu ability is not really good for a main character to have...it's typically meant to one shot teh $hit out of the opposition and that wouldn't suit a main charakter where there has to be a struggle...

why do you think sasuke didn't get a genjutsu ability until part 2? he would one shot naruto in VOTE 1, Lee would have been less of a problem, etc. Sakura was nerfed!!

Sakura was pretty much useless the entire series. I think making Hinata the MC and removing Sakura or making her a side character would've made the manga much better compared to what you're suggesting OP.

However, Hinata from Road to Ninja would definitely be a better choice.

The female would've been used as a damsel regardless, kishi even said that he made Sakura serve as a love triangle aspect for team 7 to add some drama, Sakura is the only female besides tsuande who could actually stand with them in battle, because even though Sakura isn't from a clan she is extremely unique and powerful.

OT there was no girl at that time that could wax Naruto and Sasuke. Only Temari and that was for like 1 arc. Sakura just needed a trainer like Kakashi was to Sasuke then how he went to Naruto when Sasuke left. Sakura had no one till after Sasuke left.

It's not that the story needed an entirely different female character in place of Sakura. Rather, Sakura should have been written to be more on par with her teammates (like how Sarada is now), and they shouldn't have made her Sasuke's cheerleader. She should have just been unbiased and not favored one teammate over the other.

Basically, Sarada is more or less what Sakura should have been.

So everyone can pretty much agree that Sakura is the problem. I personally don’t think Hinata would’ve been a good choice replacement thiugh. But if Kishi had given Hinata a twin sister who’s the polar opposite of Hinata (but she isn’t a ***** like alt Hinata - Road to Ninja) then it would work flawlessly.
