Most mass shooters shoot because of mental illness. Eric Harris was a diagnosed Psychopath after his death, he felt no empathy, so he would essentially be genetically "alpha" but his social life was garbage and he didn't know how to work his way around the social ladder. He was genetically predisposed to be an "alpha male" but he blew his chance.

Using guns to shoot kindergarten children or whatever is not alpha, shooting innocent people isn't alpha. Having a cause and fighting for it is Alpha. It's one thing if Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold walked into the Federal Reserve and were shooting it up in search of legal documents that could help undo it, but they just went into a school and robbed parents of their kids.
