Like most marvel movies like in the past few years in my opinion was average at best however Killmonger is a great villain (definitely one of the greatest marvel villains ever) and what honestly made me want to watch it again. What do you guys think? I give it a 7.5/10

What pisses me off the most is how 90% of the audience views the film as some landmark political piece. I swear to god I guarantee that this film will win at least 1 Oscar next year simply because of the autistic politics surrounding it. Like come on guys - it's a superhero movie, and it's not even the best Marvel film. Every Youtuber I subscribe to has raved about the film, yet two weeks prior to the film I predicted EXACTLY how the film would be structured. It's a cliche marvel film that has been praised to jesus-level ratings simply because of the skin-color of the cast. If you're a young black person who feels like they finally have a superhero to look up too, that's genuinely good for you, otherwise you need to f*ck off because this was seriously a generic Marvel film that I personally feel was one of the worst films Marvel has produced.

Knew it. One of those trailer hyping movies with crap content like Sorcerer's Apprentice by Nicholas Cage. The villain is great, a subtle type of uniqueness when compared to other Marvel villains. A never before seen type.

The film was a bit over hyped though, and we all know who over hyped it.

I see we pretty much all agree that it was average. Definitely over hyped. Idk I just couldn't find myself giving a damn about the black panther himself. Incredibly boring and cliche hero and pretty predictable story but as to be expected from most marvel films of the last few years. Film would've been shit if not for Killmonger. Hope he gets like a spin-off of some sort or something..

Killmonger character was poorly written. His lines were cheesy. It couldve been way better than. Im black so it pisses meoff that my people male it a political black empowerment movie when its just fictional marvel movie.

Solid 8.5/10 for me, loved it, up there with Winter Soldier. Villain was great, the supporting characters were amazing, and King T'Challa was amazing as well. Only complain would be that I wish it was longer, maybe give 20-30 more mins to Kllmonger. Also to the op, my friend said he enjoyed the movie even more on the second viewing so give a try I guess.

Well that's liberal media blowing it out of proportion by praising it as something beyond marvel or superhero films in general when in fact it's just the same as most marvel films to date. Certainly over hyped and average at best but pretty fun given the action and several characters. I do recommend you give it a watch. The consensus from what I've seen in the actual public is giving it an average rating via imbd and rotten tomatoes and most people seem to agree that Killmonger is the true show stealer and more panther than the black panther himself lol.

It was very good film. Not too much typical "Michael Bayish" scenes, enough decent action, personally liked soundtrack. But obviously they tried using anti-colonial concept, strong pro-black idea in this film, what many white supremacists are now up in arms about. For me, it also felt bit cheesy.

The reviews by most movie critics are pretty good, rotten tomatoes in fact gave it a 97% although I dont really know how biased these ratings really are.

As for myself I havent watched it but its probably shit, just like every super hero movie out there with cheesy badass lines, shitty linear stories and michael bayish explosions everywhere, this time around adding some political crap too in that mess.

I thought it was excellent. Like Winter Soldier and Civil War before it, I was really surprised at depth of the inter-character dialogue, and the themes it wasn't afraid to talk about. It was accentuated in BP due to the context and history that comes with it by virtue of its cast.

i swear as soon as I saw those two fighting on the waterfall I knew killmonger was just gonna toss him instead of actually cutting him down like he's supposed to. So cliche

also we knew from the start nothing significant was gonna happen as infinity war is after this and we saw everyone is fine in the trailer

The final words by killmonger were cringeworthy tho. I get america has racism problems but this guy blew it so out of proportions like seriously, what century do you live in..

missed it when it ceme out, was way too bussy. now i got to see it. i have to say that its rly not all that good, even for someone who agrees with the ''political msg''. acting is meh, cg is meh, story is a marvel story except the tried to make it deeper which makes it worse, its super oredictable villain kinda ok but only cuz the rest of marvel villains suck. Yes fine great its a mostly black cast about an ''african country'' and culture, i get how that is important no matter how dismissively a lot of the internet looks at it as. But if u wanna tank about hte politics and culuture aspect of it say its a meh movie, its not a special movie, its not a particularly good movie, even for a nerd like me. If u like fthe movie good for you, for me it was ok but definitely towards the bottom of the MCU (and even for my fav of them, while some of my fav movies period, I wouldnt call objectively great movies).

Many will say it's good ebcause of how politics and bla bla was interwoven into it. While that might make viewing it somewhat worth it i guess, but the fact is, if you''l get much more of it on the first page of a quality newsletter/paper...

Overall 5/10 for me, enjoyable but probably in the bottom 3 of my MCU movies ranking (but keep in mind I still enjoyed my least fav MCU movie, yes, im agiant nerd)
