Boruto Jougan Rant..

-i'm not underestimating jougan or anything like that....i know it has some badass powers and all (tho it will never surpass sharingan)...but here's 2 main reasons why Jougan eye for me don't make sense :



1-teh jougan itself is a retkon eye : it was never planned by kishi untill last minute ....boruto was suposed to have byakugan...



2-like i said befor : jougan is a result of uzumaki and hiyuga blood mixture rather then it being pure eye....it was better if kishimoto made jogan a evolution of byakugan ....something like Uzumaki dna + byakugan = Mangekyou byakugan. aka jogan..

Jougan is a set of weak eyes given to clones(burrito) and plot armoured it's way to heaven. It will never surpass the Sharingan. It copies Jougan's trash space time Ninjutsu and sends it to oblivion.

From a writing perspective, what sense would it make to give the main character something weaker than byakugan? Why even give him a dojutsu at all in that case? Or why not just have him awaken byakugan like Himawari?

I know that you dislike Boruto, but some of your bash reaches illogical levels. It would be the dumbest thing for Jougan to be weaker than byakugan.

It makes perfect sense the main purpose would be for steady progression. If he's given a fully developed dojutsu from the get go there remains less potential for future development and keeping the people's interest. The fact that he uses it in conjunction with Momo's seal also indicates a potential connection/power boost via the seal at a later date.

This has nothing to do with my dislike for Boruto. On another note Boruto was meant to have the Byakugan originally but Kishi forgot to draw it. The new author thought about trying something a little different.
