That is why I can't get behind the logic of Uchiha > Otsutsuki on the basis that Uchihas have sharingan in their genes while Otsutsuki members have to eat a fruit or pills.

If Otsutsukis are desperate for fruit, the Uchiha is simply a product of said desperation.

You should get behind it the problem is Kaguya's line pawn Kaguya as well not just the Otsutsuki.

I personally dont believe the Uchiha have their powers because Kaguya ate the fruit. I think the connection to the Uchiha power is more to do with Hogaromo becoming the Jyubi Jin and he passed on the powers via himself.
