Well I wouldn't be able to do a better job so I'm not gonna complain. Also I like that Boruto is different from Naruto.

That explains the quality of this manga, he is very very very busy doing something else, he has no time to work on his manga.

OP is not about action sequences but i guess that the examples found and posted were to find a parallel regarding what was posted (action sequences) by Ikemoto. Anyway, it is your opinion and it should be respected, as should ours.

Oda designs everything by the way. His assistants might step in but feast your eyes with this.

What is the issue with Berserk not being finished? The art is superior, it serves as a standard of appreciation and quality. Kentauro Miura is probably one of the best mangakas to ever live, only below the likes of Takehiko Inoue or Shinichi Sakamoto..

Ikemoto is good, i really like some of his stuff but in Boruto, well.. He is not showing his best, is he? He reminds me of those type of artists that their craft varies according to their emotions because time can't be an excuse.

I can only draw stick figures by the way.

So number of pages are very subjective thing and bashing someone for it is just uncalled for.

Well that is a matter of opinion and there's nothing petty about it imo. But while I do dislike his art, the thing that matters most for me is the story and its not just about the monthly releases but what you get after waiting for a month. So far the story has been quite slow for my taste and not very interesting with a load of ninja tech asspulls happening at the moment with little to no explanation of their inner workings. In fact its been so slow and boring that I forget most of it within a week lol not to mention with shitty(more lazy imo) art style.
I don't mind monthly releases if the content is intresting and kept you hooked to the story. But at the moment its not. So every month I have to go through the previous chapter before reading the new one. With weekly releases even if it is 12 pages you don't have to go back and read what happened in the previous chapter and with a pacing this slow I think it'd be better for Ikemoto to take out some time from his so busy schedule and put efforts into making this into a weekly release. It may even force him to adjust the pacing of the story which is again a good thing.
So I'd rather take 12 pages of weekly release over a 50 pages of boring and slow crap that Ikemoto has been giving us. I hope this clears up my point so that you won't call other's opinion petty based on assumptions and then post a completely irrelevant post based on those assumptions.
If he's that busy then he should give the manga to someone else to handle instead of the crap he's giving to the series's loyal fans. That's nothing but incompetent. He'd kill the series at this rate by not giving what the fans of the original series actually want and turning away new readers. Maybe that'll change in the furtue and if it does he'll have my respect. Till then he's incompetent imo and I don't care what others think about it.

Well maybe a demonstration and abilities is enough for you but its not for me. Ninja tech is not like ninjutsu. At first it was okay with a few ninja tech weapons with some basic explanation but now they keep adding to the list without giving any explanation of how they're made or from where it all started.

Same here -why would you compare Ikemoto's art who must follow art style of Kishi and yet to establish his own with veteran mangas of like 3 decades of their work? Should the panels be compared to something like Kimetsu no Yaiba or BC etc which are it's competition? But you drop in Berserk and Vagabond of all things.

How many shonen mangas have that kind of art? And how does that justify bashing and mocking Ikemoto?

Besides, he said he drew the stuff that moves meaning the stationary objects in panels are usually done by others. So I will leave that feast to you. However we are not talking about his capacity as artist but about amount of content put in. OP does put in a lot but it comes of as cluttered to me while story progress too slow.

Inou , Miura? - I would like to ask you too if you are comparing Ikemoto's art with Inou's , why are you here?

This what? Ikemoto’s first manga as lead artist no? And he is building and drawing character that are not his own in addition to original ones.

If you actually look at his original characters they are not all that bad looking compared to character that weren’t originally designed by him. Those tend to be a bit strange looking.

Also as you stated he is being compared against artists who have at least a decade or more experience than he does. It’s been a very short whole and I’ve already seen a big improvement in his style. I’m all for giving him some leadway. I’m confident he will refine his technique

^This is what i wrote. You said Berserk was not finished, i said that Berserk art is superior and serves as a standard of appreciation and quality. Never in my reply i compared their art to Ikemoto and it would be ridiculous to do it but does this mean i can't be here or enjoy Naruto/Boruto? No, it doesn't.

Let me just add that it does mean that my standards are based in really good Mangakas and that alone gives me enough visual culture to be able to distinguish Oda's work from Ikemoto's.

Ikemoto actually downgraded, his work in Naruto was pretty good, it is weird what happened.

It is like tasting a mediocre wine, after trying a really great one.

It wasn't about any of those.

It was about Ikemoto's refusal for making weekly releases because he is too busy and if he is too busy why does the artwork lackluster - the people added.

Isn't it normal that in a discussion with a certain theme that is narrow at the beginning eventually tends to get wider? I think this is where the thread went. Ikemoto's work was bashed, Oda's was brought into the thread, weekly/monthly releases points were made and eventually comparisons appeared.

Don't we as loyal Naruto fans deserve the best? Is Ikemoto's art something that should be accepted without critic? I don't think so. Bashing is not ok but criticizing seems like a normal thing in the 21st centurty. Especially when the OP as like thirty threads made in the past purely bashing Boruto manga artwork.

I completely agree. Ikemoto's art is trash and doesn't even come close to the ones in your post. And this after working for years under Kishimoto as his assistant and working on the Boruto manga for two years on top of it.
