There should be better examples than that you know. Oda's art being consistent for 11 years means you are not counting the first 10 years or so. Backgrounds are drawn by his assistants. Besides who reads OP for it's "action sequences"? I don't. Manga took 200 chapters to get interesting and then since 2011 it got draggy again.
Berserk- let me know when it's finished. It started in 1989. And is still only on 353 or 354. Consistency of churning out the series should also be taken in. If you count chapters per year Kishimoto had highest average while Naruto was running. It took least breaks and ended the story. Ikemoto- we will see but Boruto is not going to be that long anyway. Ikemoto is not that young either.
I am not fan of his art particularly but statements like this are petty. There are several monthly mangas which have even less pages. e.g.
Blue Exorcist is monthly but has like 35 pages.
Then a lot of weekly mangas do not have 19 chapters as implied above but you may get only 15-16 pages. e.g.

OP chapter with 15 pages. Don't forget it takes frequents breaks too.
So number of pages are very subjective thing and bashing someone for it is just uncalled for.
You deliberately found a panel with minimum art for Boruto
There are some quite messy pages from OP but let's not get in to that
For there should be better examples than that you know

Well that is a matter of opinion and there's nothing petty about it imo. But while I do dislike his art, the thing that matters most for me is the story and its not just about the monthly releases but what you get after waiting for a month. So far the story has been quite slow for my taste and not very interesting with a load of ninja tech asspulls happening at the moment with little to no explanation of their inner workings. In fact its been so slow and boring that I forget most of it within a week lolnot to mention with shitty(more lazy imo) art style.
I don't mind monthly releases if the content is intresting and kept you hooked to the story. But at the moment its not. So every month I have to go through the previous chapter before reading the new one. With weekly releases even if it is 12 pages you don't have to go back and read what happened in the previous chapter and with a pacing this slow I think it'd be better for Ikemoto to take out some time from his so busy schedule and put efforts into making this into a weekly release. It may even force him to adjust the pacing of the story which is again a good thing.
So I'd rather take 12 pages of weekly release over a 50 pages of boring and slow crap that Ikemoto has been giving us. I hope this clears up my point so that you won't call other's opinion petty based on assumptions and then post a completely irrelevant post based on those assumptions.
If he's that busy then he should give the manga to someone else to handle instead of the crap he's giving to the series's loyal fans. That's nothing but incompetent. He'd kill the series at this rate by not giving what the fans of the original series actually want and turning away new readers. Maybe that'll change in the furtue and if it does he'll have my respect. Till then he's incompetent imo and I don't care what others think about it.
I'm glad you added; "I forget most of it within a week lol."
Explains why you think most of ninja tech has little to explanations on their inner workings.
So what did I miss?
So far, the only ninja tech that wasn't talk upon was Ao's gun.
We literally had a weapon demonstration earlier, showcasing the abilities of the tech.
Where were you..?
Hopefully, he gets some assistants or something.I don't think Ikemoto do with weekly, but I would try bi-weekly if they can within the next few years.
I'm trying to understand your point, Berserk chapter and volume release was very consistent til 2013. Is there any other series that can top its art ?
OP is not about action sequences but i guess that the examples found and posted were to find a parallel regarding what was posted (action sequences) by Ikemoto. Anyway, it is your opinion and it should be respected, as should ours.
Oda designs everything by the way. His assistants might step in but feast your eyes with this.

What is the issue with Berserk not being finished? The art is superior, it serves as a standard of appreciation and quality. Kentauro Miura is probably one of the best mangakas to ever live, only below the likes of Takehiko Inoue or Shinichi Sakamoto..
Sometimes i wonder why the hell i waste my time here..
Ikemoto is good, i really like some of his stuff but in Boruto, well.. He is not showing his best, is he? He reminds me of those type of artists that their craft varies according to their emotions because time can't be an excuse.
I can only draw stick figures by the way.
Same here -why would you compare Ikemoto's art who must follow art style of Kishi and yet to establish his own with veteran mangas of like 3 decades of their work? Should the panels be compared to something like Kimetsu no Yaiba or BC etc which are it's competition? But you drop in Berserk and Vagabond of all things.
How many shonen mangas have that kind of art? And how does that justify bashing and mocking Ikemoto?
I don't like his art style. I just got used to it, over the years. Besides, he said he drew the stuff that moves meaning the stationary objects in panels are usually done by others. So I will leave that feast to you. However we are not talking about his capacity as artist but about amount of content put in. OP does put in a lot but it comes of as cluttered to me while story progress too slow.
Inou , Miura? - I would like to ask you too if you are comparing Ikemoto's art with Inou's , why are you here?
Do you really compare regular shonnen at with Berserk all the time? Was this thread about mangas with best art of all times out there or whether Ikemoto is unable to draw his own lot?
you do realize that some of these are computer drawn right? ikemoto draws by hand. nice tryBoruto ( monthly ) ;

Forgivable for a weekly manga with almost 900 chapters.
Not really, that's the problem. The art quality is weak for a monthly chapter, that's a fact.

Thank you this ^
This what? Ikemoto’s first manga as lead artist no? And he is building and drawing character that are not his own in addition to original ones.
If you actually look at his original characters they are not all that bad looking compared to character that weren’t originally designed by him. Those tend to be a bit strange looking.
Also as you stated he is being compared against artists who have at least a decade or more experience than he does. It’s been a very short whole and I’ve already seen a big improvement in his style. I’m all for giving him some leadway. I’m confident he will refine his technique
I don't like his art style or Tom and Jerry style fights. I just got used to it, over the years.
