Take him out of the equation and the potential for development goes up many fold without focus on one character. Your premise assumes the story would follow the same course and the writers can right a better story which is laughable.

It's an official spew with current MC. Literally change the main character boruto anime becomes an even better anime than NP and Naruto as a whole. Why do people like him? Why do dgraymahn, indrah, hinably and dark kratos feel so attached to him as if he's a real life character? Shame. Guy has nothing attractive about him and here we're making him centers of hot topics + debates. Change the MC to sarada the series is painfully stale seriously. Make metal lee top protagonists. Repentance for kishimoto's mistake for casting out lee from the plot towards the end despite having huge potential. We all know why certain fans hype boruto and that's only to bash uchiha and Sakura top most. Like c'mon no one is a "hardcore" fan of boruto like never the only motive is to bash for the hell of bashing.
