Are the tailed beasts immortal?

The thing is that Kushina said if a jinchuriki dies the tailed beast also dies (if my memory is still good. ~.~).

When a Jinchuuriki dies, the Tailed Beast respawns after some time.

I'd say they aren't immortal because they technically can die, but then they respawn. They are immortal in a sense because they will always exist.
