If an Otsutsuki can give a user a curse seal that may aid to their overall strength.

Then why can't they do it to themselves? :wut:

You would think a good power up like that would warrant them using their own seals.

yeah by self made chakra fruit

note in the movie he didn't even have those markings and the markings are completely different compared to Boruto and Kawaki's which are identical to each other

thinking about it maybe compared to being a pseoudo fruit transfer when you do it via seal (upon death) it slowly creeps in until you have that monster form we see with Momo

The Otsutsuki are probably behind or connected to Kara in some way, that's what Shikamaru thinks anyways.

so I guess via you and Sagebee that the answer is that Momo can't give the same seal (his own seal) and apply it to himself


odd on what it does though beyond just power since Momo in the movie was really 1D and had no unique powers beyond fate stuff

The fruit transformation thing might be unique to Momo.

As others have stated they're passing their chakra onto others it likely amps the strength of their chakra but may require chakra storage.
