A few things we learned recently that a comet is coming thanks to Toneri's monologue and we also know that in Roman mythology that diamonds were considered the outter layer of stars(Which is not totally innacurate giving that some diamonds have traces to meteorties.A fallen momoshiki gave narutoa diamond symbol when he died and one of the Kara members rocks a diamond on his mask.

Is it a coincidence that the lone survivor happened to be in posession of a byakugan ?

Is this all connected ? I don't have the answers to these questions

The byakugan definitely has a part to play in the series either you don't pay attention or you can't put two and two and two together.I am going to say you just say shit just to say it nobody can be this stupid.The Byakgou is not relevant

hence why he went out of his way to mention Ao as a byakugan slayer to let people know he has a byakugan

if that wasn't the case he could've just used any random new character who was half cyborg to do the things AO was doing

Nobody said anything about the byakugan looking like a diamond.Again you need to learn how to read.I wa referring to the diamonds symbolic conenction to stars and comets and how the Otsutsuki come from space and from what we see so far all have the byakugan.The fact that the byakugan has been in the spotlight makes me wonder if AO's survival who just happens to have a byakugan wasn't alive by accident but kept alive because of what he had.

Your theory fits more into the byakugou mechanics, it has healing powers as the ancient romans associated it with healing and also it looks diamond shaped, Boruto got a diamond byakugou like marking in his hand, Jigen has a byakugou like marking in his chin and so on. Your own theory fits more into my explanation of things. Smh.

He was the easiest somewhat relevant character to bring back and mold into the story cause we pretty much barely saw him fight whatsoever let alone saw his abilities, plus, byakugan. In other words, I don’t think he survived that blast at all until they where writing the boruto manga
