The fact that rin-sharingan is beyond eternal sharingan, but still takes time to recharge, is hella disappointing. I guess beyond giving you extra abilities, it only prevents you from getting blind. Infinite usage based on ones chakra would of been a better deal.

And I feel like they show favoritism towards the uchiha clan a bit...hopefully byakugan and it's advanced forms get more development.

I'm not sure where Boruto's sensory skills come from. It was stated to be because of his hyuuga heritage, but that should've been because of the byakugan or a variant/advanced one. He ain't got one yet, in the manga. I have no clue.

the anime likely wanted to debut the eye so that it had original content

while the manga took the curse mark
