Just curious to see what members think.

1 . How Boruto CQC skills compares to Neji when he was around Boruto's age ?

- he is nowhere near Neji level
- he is around Neji level
- he is way above Neji level

2. How Sarada's shurikenjutsu compares to Itachi's when he was around her age ?

- she is nowhere near Itachi level
- she is around Itachi level
- she is way above Itachi level

Say how they compare and reasons why

Boruto is above both Neji & Itachi, as stated by Kakashi he is the "One Above All"

Sarada is slightly above 3yo Itachi.

He is nowhere near Neji's level in CQC

Hinata and Hinabi at a younger age could murk him.

Since they were taught since birth.

Also Sarada is not near Itachi's level either.

I think they’re both near their respective OGs level when they were their age in the specified areas of skill

Agree on Boruto part.

I didn't pay much attention to Shirikenjutsu .

What feats Sarada has to come close to Itachi's

Boruto's cqc skills are probably below 7 -10 year old Neji's level which means his skills are poor.

Sarada's shuriken skills are from Genin-Chunin Itachi level who was between 7 -10 years of age, which means her skills are very high.

CQC levels, probably not.

But overall power, I'd say he's closer to Neji than Sarada is of Itachi in shuriken jutsu.

When Itachi was 11 he was Anbu level. Any comparision with Sarada is far fetched and biased.
As for Boruto he is trying to enter Neji leagues because I can see him struggling with the same things Hinata did, even though he would dodge more easily.

I agree with this more or less. But kind of of an unfair comparison on OPs part (though not really his fault. Just how the characters stack up powerwise). While both (Neji and Itachi) were prodigies, ITACHI>>>>>>Neji where they are concerned.

The gap for Boruto to Neji is smaller than the gap between Sarada and Itachi.

However as both of them stack up overall they well ahead of the game. Counting the Anime they both have defeated Mist Swords (apprentice swordsmen) as academy students. This is something to be noted.

Both are pretty amazing but problem with Neji is that he was great only in Taijutsu while Itachi was great in pretty much everything ( Genjutsu , Sharingan usage, Shurikenjutsu , intelligence , natural skills).

I don't think this is unfair . Boruto isn't really great in CQC without help from his clones , he usually needs clones to beat someone. He was even inferior to Sarada in CQC in their short encounter in manga.

While Neji was too strong in taijutsu . For example Sasuke was pretty decent in Taijutsu , yet when he faced Lee we learned he was nothing compared to him . Only to later learn that Neji is whole tier above Lee in taijutsu.

Well I understand it from this perspective, yeah. Itachi was kind of ignored in the plot for his earlier years, the best feat we have is that he and Obito killed off the entire Uchiha Clan by themselves, he took down Orochimaru before he reached the age of 14 (apparently), and he was the Anbu Captain leader all before his regular classmates became official Genin.

The best bet Sarada has is to be compared to her parents, because Itachi was written on a league of his own, even in today's standards with kids knowing two elements, having Sage Mode, and already knowing advance fuuinjutsu.

Even the Mitsuki stuff, when you think about it - Orochimaru made Mitsuki to surpass him, and yet Itachi did that when he was barely in his prime. God damn that Itachi-wank :lol

The gap for Boruto to Neji is smaller than the gap between Sarada and Itachi.
True, but in terms of skills they are hardly comparable too. Neji was full blown Hyuuga prodigy, whose fighting style was heavily reliant on Taijutsu, more so with the Hyuuga's Gentle Fist. He fought with his Byakugan in every fight.

Whereas Boruto, while having good Taijutsu feats, more so with shadow clones - Is more of a Ninjutsu user at large than a Taijutsu user (more to the point since he later adapts Kenjutsu into his fighting style by the time skip).

So it is harder to compare base Boruto and Neji's skills, whereas Sarada/Itachi are more comparable since they share the same affinities: Dojutsu, Elemental natures (Fire), and weapon control (shuriken jutsu). Not to mention Sharingan Genjutsu. However by the look of it, Itachi used not only Sharingan Genjutsu but regular genjutsu as well. Sarada might not be up to par, I think she'll just be heavily reliant on Sharingan Genjutsu. Possibly I can see her getting a Mangekyo Sharingan Genjutsu ability to stack up to his.

We'll see though.

However as both of them stack up overall they well ahead of the game. Counting the Anime they both have defeated Mist Swords (apprentice swordsmen) as academy students. This is something to be noted.
This is true. Both Boruto and Sarada are noted as Elites of their generation, so even if they don't stack up to previous generations (yet). They are still considered to be the top of their classes anyway.

Granted we still have masses of untapped potential awaiting, and I'm discounting the seal for Bolt because that's not really his own power (to be fair). When the Jougan comes out, unless they shoehorn it last minute in the story, should determine just how strong he should be.

Almost every character has unlocked access to their special abilities, even in the next generation, yet we are being power blocked for no reason with Bolt. We'll see what happens anyway.

I'm expecting at least surpassing MS/SM Sasuke-Naruto by the end of the story.
