That's the common understanding, I don't see why the fuss tbh. It was the same as Hinata versus Hanabi. Both went all out, regardless of the lack of ninjutsu/shurikenjutsu or whichever area of expertise that could've been incorporated into the fight They went as "pure as a Hyuuga sparring" and Boruto was on the losing end before Mitsuki had to intervene. Period.
Well I agree to an extent. It was a team match, Boruto being tripped doesn't mean he was losing, as I explained earlier

Indra said:
Did Sasuke lose here?

Did Naruto lose here?

You must be registered for see images

You get my drift
She didn't knock him out, Boruto just didn't have a chance to counter - In which Mitsuki stepped in. Cause it's a 2v1. Regardless Sarada's CQC >> Boruto's

I feel like I should throw that in anyway in case you get the wrong idea somehow lol.

The whole part of the training exercise was for them to test the ninja tools, not for them to actually kill Sarada or vice versa.
I never said that their fight was to death, I said their fight was a serious one or a real one (serious is a synonym for real) and Boruto actually used the word real when he warned Sarada that it was hid intention as being. Which she agreed to as such...

Boruto saying that he was going to go at her for real, only means that he was taking this seriously.
My point exactly, this in itself doesn't discredits the doubt your trying to blend to the seriousness of Borutos pursuit or rather attempted take down of Sarada.

But we already know that Boruto was not using ninjutsu at all (and vice versa).
What Boruto used or didn't use doesn't do anything for you in this argument becuase he chose to attack Sarada in all seriousness using Taijutsu, there was no pretense that said he couldn't use ninjutsu or not. Mitsuki using The Soft Physique Modification which is ninjutsu means Boruto could've used ninjutsu + Taijutsu but didn't chose too.

Which means from that narrative, the fight was nothing more than a training exercise.
You have to stop this Indra, The Main Character decided what the narrative was with one simple panel and he created a narritavte based on seriousness when he pretensed his actions as being real or serious (taken in seriousness).

Even then, we have seen Boruto fight a willing combatant who was using a ninja tool (while using ninjutsu)
Nope, Sarada bested Boruto before she used the device, she used ninjutsu after ninjutsu was used on her by Mitsuki. Again, I don't see why your trying to discredit Sarada's moment of shine when there is no sensible way to do so. Come on fam, all Sarada did was take down an opponent who clearly underestimated her or the challange she could give them.

I'm not saying she's leagues ahead of Boruto or that she would beat him on a knock down drag out fight as simply as she did in two panels. I'm saying that she's a commendable character and that she shouldn't be slept on while being comparable to Boruto in a sense.

Whereas when Boruto and Mitsuki lost, it was nothing more than a 'Damn ninja tools' or "Damn you got us good Sarada" response.
Lmao no let's narrow the conversation to the point I'm malingnand have been making since I've entered this conversation with you..... Sarada bested, outplayed, out preformed, beat, got, owned or out manuvered Boruto before the device came into play. Sarada has the option to get Boruto with that device the second he attacked her head on. Sarada in fact couldve used the device when she initially dodged his first struck but she instead bested, outplayed, out preformed, beat, got, owned or out manuvered Boruto without it.

My point^

Damn Indra I honestly can't believe your doing this to yourself, please don't become one of those members who's willing to use dismissive logic to advocate for a particular character their fond of. That's not you and it doesn't need to be becuase you are one of few members here who actually isn't bias.

You have less bias then I do+

I never disagreed with what your saying. But the context was that of a testing match for the ninja tool - Not a serious fight.

The characters are serious within the context of testing. Is what I'm saying. Hence why neither used ninjutsu or felt they need to actually "go out".

My point exactly
No one disagreed with that at all.

Hence why I have been saying that Boruto wasn't using all that he could have, because despite him being serious within that context. He wasn't going all out, in contrast to how he was against his father. That is a fact.

I'm going to have you stop here you as well. I don't really care what the Main Character decided, we've already seen two situations where the MC has fought opponents in the narrative of testing ninja tools, and it's clear as day which one Boruto was actually "seriousn" in, and I'm speaking on the context of 'holding back and using what they have' and just focusing on one area.

Rather than oversimplifying the practice matches in full.

When did I disagree with this? Why are you putting words in my mouth, I literally said: "Even then, we have seen Boruto fight a willing combatant who was using a ninja tool (while using ninjutsu).

The fact of the matter is, Boruto was going all out against Naruto, whereas with Sarada he was just using Taijutsu. That once again, is an undeniable fact.

I don't disagree here either. Why are debating again? :lol

I have no idea what your talking about, and I'm not going to play this 'don't do this yourself' kind of game. I don't really feel the need to bring up old examples or to drag this conversation out of the limelight. Stay on topic.

I've kept my position on the subject pretty clear, and not once did I judge your opinion on being bias. So I expect the same level headed discussion, otherwise this won't be fun.

Doesn't look like smiling to me. How about we let everyone else decide if he's smiling or not, what do you say?
Or we can just wait for the adaption to clear it up.

Though I'm pretty sure he's smirking here. Otherwise I don't know what kind of reaction that is.

Let's wait till 2019 in other words.

He can't be smirking. Why would he smirk knowing he's not on his butt on his own whim. That just doesn't make sense, and his level of pride is just too high for him to be that complacent despite the odds against him.

The Movie gets adapted in April, so my best guess: Probably October/November/December area. Or the start of the school year (August) when the Tentou Arc gets adapted.

Though it could be earlier. I'm just assuming the summer of 2018 will be filler central, but who knows.

Maybe he's smirking because he knows Mitsuki arrived? I mean it doesn't really change the fact that his facial reaction looks appalling to the situation.

They didn't even care post-match lol

Maybe in technical and tactical aspect Sarada is better than Boruto. Yes its not a serious/real fight but testing the combat skill of Boruto and Sarada where Sarada is better and it clearly shown when Sarada took Boruto down. So it telling you that in one on one fight Sarada has better mental preparedness and good combat skill than Boruto. IMO

Lol the "testing a ninja tool" is the location or the arena of the fight, the intent/context is serious becuase Boruto said it was or he was serious. Boruto's own words discredit your argument at the end of the day.

Again Sarada testing a ninja tool doesn't mean Boruto wasn't serious nor Sarada was during the the testing. When you take a final exam or SAT are you or are you not taking them seriously? And again Mitsuki used ninjutsu and boruto had the same choice to do so but didn't for his own reasons but we both know that Boruto took Sarada serious when he charged her.

Again Sarada bested Boruto in an actual combative setting that was taken seriously by Boruto, she got him good.

Bingo.

He did what most of you criticize Sakura for, charging in blindly.

The whole point of the fight was to test the ninja tools, that is the fact.

No one ever said he wasn't serious, but he didn't use ninjutsu. In an earlier fight against Naruto in the same setting, Naruto told him not to hold back, and he went to use ninjutsu right off the bat. These are facts. You can't ignore one for the other.

Alas..

We know for a fact that they were not serious based on the lack of anything used. It was straight up Taijutsu, then a ninja tool. The purpose of the match was to: Test the ninja tool.

Not to: Fight until there is a winner.

Anything outside of that is borderline fan fiction. Hence the point.

Again Sarada bested Boruto in an actual combative setting that was taken seriously by Boruto, she got him good.
Sarada tripped him mate.
