-Gai wins , easily. Vastly superior quick-time reflexes. Vastly superior speed/strength and overall physicality. Vasty superior CQC skill with vastly superior Taijutsu moves to use.

-If Asuma is the first to attack then Gai evades then proceeds to dominate Asuma in tight Taijutsu.
-If Gai is the first to attack , then Asuma evades then has to keep on constantly trying to evade block or parry until he gets hit due to the unorthodox and fast nature of Gai's nunchaku.
