As you all know, I was a very confused man about my career. I was trying to fight for filling work. I am getting closer, after seeing more and reading more. So I have finally narrowed it down to a few options.

What is fulfilling work for me? I want to see other people happy with what I have done for them. As a result, I would find meaning in my work. So which one of these jobs would give me for filling work, great work life balance, and just enough money to support myself?

Retail banking, tax preparation, certified nursing assistant, pharmacy technician, or a social service job?

If you guys have recommendations, please comment below. Also, I do not plan to get a degree. I just want to learn a trade.

You want your cake and eat it too.

You want a short-cut.

You don't wanna do any of those jobs listed, and you know it.You couldn't care LESS. However, you could do pharmacy tech...and social services isn't a good idea, to be honest. Tax preparation is just control, retail banking is just pompous, and certified nursing assistant is just an excuse.

You want ALL the benefits, without taking the necessary steps to getting it.

And what you're asking for is too "picky"...and there's an ulterior motive behind "social services"...something about it.

Certified nursing assistant, pharmacy technician or a social service job. The last three you mentioned. My sister has a social service job and she loves it, but again... That field has many different types of jobs.

Well me and you have the same motivations of "wanting to see other people happy with what I have done for them" and I've invested in a bachelor's degree of social work, I'm now working twords my masters. I recommend this avenue for you.. the curriculum is very hands on/updated and the degree applies to so many different career fields vary from local:

County social work!
County child warfare!
SUV investigation (child crimes too sexual amist crimes)!
Prison Walefare!
School counseling!

Federal:

Your states Health Dpt.
Your states Food Safety Dpt.
Your states Building Code Regulator.
***there are more***

You can even work with the Secret Service: which would include you factoring in the results of secret operations how it will affect & how. They even send people social works to the US embassy to monitor how the natives of there country (everyday citizens) respond to the U.S. presence and policies.

FBI, Anti Terrorist Contacts privatised by the dept of The Department of Military Affairs, which would include you examining a soliders transtion from deployedments to returning home.

There are much more carrer fields that this degree that a degree on social work allows you to explore...

If you were any serious about your career, you would stop posting on NB and maybe reflect in general not just your job choices.

Clearly said he isn't interested in degrees, just trade.

Sorry, but that sounds incredibly extreme.Sounds like "I just want attention and to meet people".

Sounds like you exploit children, really.

I know a girl, that's jamaican, that thinks like you.(got abused or mistreated as a kid, becomes a sore loser and does social work as revenge/retaliation against their parents/gaurdians who mistreated them...which is also called having too much "pride")

..done on a subconscious level.

These children, AREN'T your children or your ploy...just to let you know.Avoid getting personally involved in their situations. Deal with what's necessay, and don't use a child as a "clutch".

Some of ya'll social workers over-step your boundaries, severely.

Would becoming a personal banker be good emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially ?

sounds incredibly boring and soulless. But, you're allowed to try whatever you wanna try...whatever works for you.Which I obviously don't need to tell you.

Bro, I'm in the same boat as you, trying to make a living...trying to find a way, a way that makes sense. Something necessary, something where I'm not sacrificing more than I'm earning. What's the point of sacrificing so much for an exploitative job that couldn't care less about you.

It's like, the moment you're born, you're signing some kind of "contract" with the government.

And honestly, some people like the way these jobs sound, and haven't a clue about the reality of it. Just incredibly fruitless.

Please pick retail banking. I wish you will. I wish you well. At least to leave NB for your own sake and future.
Stay tune for Heniโ€™s next thread.

From those 5 categories i think you would most likely find what you are looking for in either "certified nursing assistant" or some sort of social service job.

Are you interested in being an evangelist? Or a charisma preacher? I think considering your kind personality, you'd succeed in it. Or do you like computer technology research or specifically; computer programming? Its a good choice. Someone on youtube said he got a 100,000+ salary on google company after he learned how to code and program.
