Lol you must be privledged
Racism is actually a very BIG issue.. we just have other BIG issues as well so its not the main issue
one of the issues is that Alabama was really considering putting a pedophile in office
do you want to know what most WHITE women and men said about it "We all done it before" "Its not a big deal" "Its a honor to be young and be hit on by an older gentlemen" "Its only a kiss and touch big whoop"
and no this is NOT made up.. they recorded the responses.. and those are rednecks... AKA racist in my eyes.. this world is divided.. and its strong
You are too.
As of right now, white people possess only communal and economic privilege. If you want to say that black prison rates are evidence of racism, it could go either way. Black crime rates are ridiculously high and the incrimination rates match it. Black fathers are absent, the prison rates match that as well. Too many factors are at play for you to run around with the "systemic racism" card. To say that the police and justice system in this country are racist, despite cops getting away with killing defenseless, homeless, and even mentally challenged white men. When cops kill people or get in situations, dash cams don't mean shit. It's the word of the cops versus yours and by protocol you will never win.
Thinking that we're going through the same racism that our ancestors faced is just your privilege and lack of understanding showing. It's more nuanced than, "racism is still as bad as it used to be". You thinking that rednecks are all racists, is a clear sign that you're no different from those who see blacks as criminal hip hop heads who can't turn off their loud ass music. Rednecks choosing to put in a pedophile is a clear sign of ideological bias. Had it been a left-wing white man, they'd all be calling for his arrest and screaming about how liberals will stop at nothing to have their guys in power.
Is there racism? Yes. Are racists using systems and institutions for their advantage? Yes.
Are racist police officers evidence of some massive race issue? No.
Are racist professors who are anti-white, evidence of some massive issue? No.
These are all individuals or small groups of people with agendas, using the institutions at large for their purposes. You're missing the true target by attacking the institutions rather than the individuals.
